Just got to Egypt. The controls take getting used to but also fuck that one jump in the beginning of St Francis's folly. Also I'm not good with the flips and shit (unlike Legend) but it does get tough because Lara doesn't really have great lock on (yes I know its 1996).

Considering the AoD reveal, dare I ask what made the controls so bad? Its the first thing almost anyone mentions when the title is brought up. What did you have to hold down O and tilt the right stick to run or something?

There's a fucking grip mechanic or something, RPG style.

Wait until you get to the Venice level in TR2 and you have no health and goons are sniping you at every turn. Good times.

I suffered through TR1 with limited saves. Beat it. Start TR2, can save scum every step of the way; lose interest anyways. Odd experience. Hope I can get back into it.

The "puzzle" platforming is fun cause 70% of TR1 is just following the barebone basic jumps. Go to ledge, step back, run and jump. Then SUDDENLY, oh no you gotta.. half jump! not jump from the ledge! woahhhh!

Never forget, fucking Iewtube (and many other sites like it) have completely removed people's ability to "dissent" or trash something with a simple thumbs down. Take a count of just how many websites used to allow ratings or at least a Like/Dislike bar - and have since removed them over the last 5 years or so. This was done by big tech sites seemingly in concert with each other, totally not sus at all... The plebs are being herded into a mentality of "just accept it, or leave". The ability to fight against something bad or corrupting is being taken away.

This has also bafflingly been the case with many art sites, taking away ratings and such. "You can only give it a like and leave pleb, if you don't like the CalArts literal shit on a canvas then leave bigot". Taking away ratings also means simply searching for anything of generally good quality has gotten much harder. The "Sea of Garbage" online is protected, and the people just wanting to clean a little of it up to better navigate their part of the Internet are silenced.
 
Where is the new game? Feels like over a year ago they leaked out an open world thing with lara's motorcycle. Been dead quiet since then.
