I don't think that's true though, metal typically has a high thermal conductivity compared to more adiabatic materials.

To be fair, that channel is the Youtube channel of a stationery online store (they are selling a lot of japanese stuff, iirc), so it is somewhat normal to try to sell shit.

But stationery consooming is absolutely a thing, just like art&craft supply consooming. Some Youtube "collections" are insane and there are dedicated cult like followers (there has been some drama about someone reviewing some other Youtubers art supply line and some rabid fans going apeshit because it wasn't all positive.)

One example are Blackwing pencils. They might be good pencils (I've never used them), but they are overpriced, not to mention there is a new *limited edition* every other week.
 
I mean fuck… If I paid 3-4000$ for a headset, you best believe I’d be wearing it as much as possible to get some actual use out of it.

Then again, I wouldn’t but you get my point.

I wonder how long before the apple anti-porn goggles will be around before they quietly shove it off to the side. What you get for the price point, when there are multitudes of already established options that aren't over 1lb (530ish g) on your face (plus a hidden battery pack you get you carry in your pocket.) there isn't a single problem this solves other than you have too much money that needs to be tossed out. I don't imagine developers are scrambling to make software specifically for it either until it's proven to be sellable to more than just Apple Bros.
