I'm late to this trend. I've been seeing "stanley cup" memes in the pic thread and I thought NHL made some new woke faggot stanley cup. This is blatantly some viral marketing aids.

Glass straws are very popular and big sellers already. They even come with a cute little rose in them for only 1USD at every fueling station, right next to the chore boy. They're just marketed to a different crowd.

they' are crack pipes
They added a waste product to each one? At least I hope it's biodegradable.

This whole "Stanley Cup Lead" thing sounds a lot like retarded suburban women who have no idea how machines and chemstry works just freaking out because lead = toxic without understanding how contamination works. The lead doesn't touch the fucking water, unless you are using a extremely broken Stanley cup that shit isn't gonna be leaking lead anywhere. And even if it was you would probably need to be drinking lemonade or ginger beer to actually get some lead out of it which would be a struggle from a broken and leaky cup.

As for glass straws they great for drugs and home chemistry. I approve.

Well, they're claiming they used test swabs and the Stanleys show up positive.

There are many of these things, this is just the first one I found. It could be fake or from someone who has a grudge against the product.

Managing to make women fight, queue and brag for the privilege of paying hundreds of dollars for water will go down as one of the best marketing moves of the past few years.

Metal containers hold colder longer. If you like water just above freezing it's much better this way.

Same reason why cans are better than plastic bottle for soda.
You are thinking about thermos containers, some of which are made of metal. Metals are heat conductors, and very good ones even.

Those glass straws are made of borosilicate so they'd probably survive without a case in the bottom of your purse just fine. (I mean, if you like a little flavoring in your water, it might even get an old Worther's Original stuck to it.) Just don't let them roll off a table onto a tile floor.

In other news, I took my husband's found hydroflask with coffee in it to work today and it was fine. I'm retarded. But I'm still not taking that thing with water hiking. We're not ultralight, but using plastic for water allows us to pack one more beer.

A friend of mine has been complaining that he can't find a drink bottle with a locking lid. He works with mentally impaired teens and adults, and one of his older clients was caught on security video "bathing" his smallest appendage in a female worker's cup of water when she briefly left the room. She didn't drink the water after she came back, because she knew him well enough to make it obvious that he'd been up to no good while she was gone. After he left, she accessed the security cameras and yeah. The young man in question is still a client of this organisation, but he will never be left alone ever.

My friend is now too paranoid to leave his water alone ever with any client, but since this is summer in the blistering subtropics and he spends his entire working life on the move, he can't not have water to hand. He told me that he's spent much of what little freetime he has trying to find a locking water bottle but with utterly no success.

It's weird that there isn't a dozen of the things being advertised on consoomer channels. Quite a few professions involve working with large numbers of shitheads and creeps that you don't want touching your food and drink.

Edit: some clarification.

What he could do is what I've done in communal fridge situations – get a bottle or jar with a wire clamp lid (this is an IKEA one simply because lots of countries have that chain) and put a cheap padlock over the wire loop on the lid—either combination or key depending on whether the clients are more likely to filch a key or guess a number. It wouldn't completely prevent tampering, but would make it much more difficult.

I think the lead is from the paint they use.
Regardless, it is a very good way to make all the stupid whores even dumber.
Maybe in a couple generations they will become so retarded that I can tell one of them bend over and pull down her skirt and they do just that with no whining.
Would that not be a dream, my brothers?

This woman has a gadget for everything. I see this shit all over the internet. I am sick of it.
I almost posted a video about reeeestocking aesthetics yesterday, it featured this woman. I guess I'll post it now. Watch at least the first segment featuring the ✨artisan ice cubes.✨
Basically these people make a living by showcasing products and then shilling you their affiliate links so they make a commission off of the crap their audience purchases.

Restock influencers/aesthetics as a trend actually isn't new. I remember years ago it was one of the first things I saw on tiktok. It's just become really huge now and is an established business model.

I don't know why but the image of a milk bottle locked with a padlock is extremely funny to me. Ghetto aesthetic

That would require a consumer goods industry concerned with the desires of the consumer. Regrettably, the industry we have instead is concerned more with selling consumers products it's already produced rather than products that might serve consumers better.

You can put the bottle in the box.
