Turn off your data plan, geolocation and wifi connection before taking the photo and transfer it to your PC via cable you retard, use a metadata remover afterwards if you're really that big of a schizo.
Considering that there was the recent threat of the forum's hard drives being seized I do not see myself uploading anything that's possibly personally identifying in the near future.

Probably because it would get picked up in GIS. Even if I were to remove the metadata.
Then at least take a photograph of a few of your rarities. You can even make them small to obscure details. Like this:

You mean like the logs within the disks containing your geo-location and PII because you're too retarded to anomize a photo let alone properly spoofing your user agent and hardening your browser?

I'm amazed that after the whole drama with them shutting down the PS3 and vita stores then this shit with licenses happens. I think it was silly for people to call it a ploy by squenix to sell the remasters but I don't blame them, publishers have been removing older games/ports to sell the "remasters" which add very little to the originals.
Anyways, this shit is why I'm buying physical games for my consoles whenever I can, despite getting shit from my friends. Yeah it's fine now that the servers are up but in 10 years my only option will be to pirate if I wanna play the game I BOUGHT and even then I'm paranoid that pirate sites will become rarer if this trend of selling "remasters" continues, since the next logical step for publishers is going after ISO sites.

Back when the first two games were current the common criticism of GoW were it being too violent for the sake of being violent, repetitive gameplay (and being a watered down Devil May Cry) and the story was something you never heard mentioned, at all. Don't get me wrong, I played the second one and ghost of sparta and I enjoyed them, I would have never imagined GoW would become a narrative based game about Kratos and his son.

Also, I wanted to look up something about the series and remembered GoW ascencion existed, I recalled seeing a Multiplayer god of war game being featured in E3 2012 but nothing else beyond that, in fact I thought that game had gotten cancelled. That game came out in 2013, so the gap between the last release of the "Original series" and the new one is only five years, between it and GoW 3 it would be 8 years which is a long time, yet not so bad compared to certain franchises.
It's a little odd looking back and realising that GoW is a game from the PS2 era that survived all the way to the PS4 (and soon the PS5) era, Sony always got shit for not having big/recognizable first party franchises that lasted longer than a generation or two. Even odder when you consider GoW was seen as "more of the same" by some and the franchise had nowhere to go.

Edit: I'm amazed that with all the technological advancements, game preservation and retrocompatibility seems to have gotten WORSE. I remembered the debacle of the PSP Go (for those who don't know, it was a digital only psp released in 2009, very ahead of its time) and how sony, at one point planned a program for people to "trade-in" their physical psp games for digital copies, said program never materialized. 11 years later and we now have digital only consoles on launch day, yet such idea didn't even come up.
It baffles me that microsoft seems to be the only one to have put any kind of effort into retrocompability efforts

The PSP Go did flop pretty hard, but there was a lot about it that was ridiculous.
  • MSRP of $250, at a time when standard PSPs were $170, and four years into the platform's life, so you had plenty of options for used games and systems.
  • PSN's selection of PSP games at the time was anemic, with a lot of games exclusive to UMD, despite working just fine when ripped as ISOs on hacked machines.
  • Smaller screen, lol.
  • Memory Stick Micro was used instead of the Pro Duo. Micros were only otherwise used on a smattering of Sony phones, and were fairly rare. Fortunately not necessary, though, because they came with 16gb of storage built in, which was very generous by '09 standards. Like if new Switches came with, say, 512gb of storage today.
  • No pack-in games
  • Two color choices: black or white, and no other colors despite all sorts of special edition PSPs being around
  • Sealed in (well, with screws) battery, despite all other PSP models having replaceable ones
  • Proprietary charger that doubles as its USB cable, that also can't charge from a random wall adapter, because fuck you
  • Also a proprietary TV out cable, as the normal PSP one was incompatible
With all that said, they did drop in price pretty drastically a few years after launch, and were fairly well made. Not very comfortable to play on, though, due to the face buttons being very small. The PSP Go might have done well enough if it were considerably cheaper than the standard PSP, much like how discless consoles are cheaper than their standard models, but they set it up to die immediately with that $250 price tag. It's a real damn shame, too, because there aren't many tiny portables like it out there.

It's really strange how the PSP Go, and the Game Boy Micro are both fairly valuable now, yet every portable currently available is a small tablet. There's a market for pocket-sized game systems, but nobody's making one.

Yeah I recall it flopped but didn't remember all of the factors, just the "digital only" since that was the main point everyone bitched about. Didn't even know the selection of digital games was that bad.
The propietary memory cards still make me mad, guess I could forgive the original PSP for coming out at a time when SD cards weren't as dominant, but for the vita there were no freaking excuses.

For the longest time I had friends telling me about how they didn't like the PSP Vita, when in fact they were refering to the PSP Go; that's just how godawful sony was at marketing the things.

Sony really made sure it poisoned the whole userbase with the stupid memory cards. It reminded me of sony's ATRAC file system on their own minidisc players; at a time when not a lot of the world had moved away from portable CDs, they could have made a big impact. Of course they riddled them with the most awful software you could imagine.

I honestly didn't know the VITA existed until I found out you can play PSOne/PSP games on it.

>conveniently ignoring one of the only PS5 exclusives, that was also massive bomb, whilst pretending the PS5 has loads of exclusives
I honestly feel bad for this game. I bought it physical recently and it plays well, very smooth controls and fun gameplay. From a gameplay standpoint it could be a nice revival to Sony’s car combat titles, but everything else feels under baked. The graphics are Fortnite, character design is bad, and content is minimal. I really hope they take the base and do more with it. The gameplay is solid and has many routes where it can grow, they just need to find their own direction.

I was very confused when looking up prices of old games, what I thought would be worth something was not worth much. oooh, mint condition bigbox Planescape: Torment - 20 bucks. Fuck. What about Fallout, Xcom etc. Not. Worth. Shit.
One rule of thumb of mine is to just imagine what screaming wojak smiley.png would overpay for.

Nearly four times the price for the exact same game that's missing an entire second game? You don't say.

Retro gaming attracts a very fickle crowd.
