(Incoming sperging) I really loved Yu-Gi-Oh when i was a kid. While not the best duelist (Chris-Chan could've probably beaten me) I loved the show to death and always made sure I watched it on Saturday morning. If I had to pick my favorite duel it would be the Master of Magicians which is a duel between Yugi and Arcana. After seeing that I really wanted to get Dark Magician Girl and (I hope I'm remembering the name right) Arcana Dark Magician for my deck because I thought they were cool cards. In addition I will always say that the first episode of Yu-Gi-Oh is one of the best first episodes of a show I've ever seen. It still holds up to this day and has one of my favorite moments (When Yugi orders Exodia to obliterate Kaiba's Blue Eyes White Dragons)
Over the years I've had a lot of people (usually weebs) tell me that I should only watch the Subs because the dubs have stupid moments and/or are stupidly censored. However unlike Pokemon where a lot was lost in censorship, Yu-Gi-Oh actually doesn't lose that much censorship and the commonly sighted "stupid" moments (like Joey's Brooklyn Accent) aren't really that bad/actually make the characters more interesting. Also a lot of people forget that when Yu-Gi-Oh came to America the Satanic Panic of the 90s was still on a lot of parents' minds (I actually had a few friends who couldn't watch the show because their parents were convinced it was demonic magic) so a lot of what got cut was done so parents would let their kids watch it. As I tell my weeb friends mildly censoring Exodia's pentagram isn't on the same level as trying to convince people rice balls are jelly doughnuts

And speaking of censorship, I never thought of Ego Boost as a dirty card until they sloppily censored the illustration. Thanks a lot murikans View attachment 927805
I never cared for Mai Valentines deck solas far as I'm concerned they could do whatever they wanted to Harpy Ladies. Also they left Dark Magician girl as is and didn't cesnor Mai's outfit in the first virtual world (The one where Joey, Mokuba, and Yugi go in to rescue a kidnapped Kaiba and create a fucking awesome fiveheaded dragon to get out) so they clearly weren't too boob censorship happy.

Something something Invisible guns and kaiba being skeptic unlike the manga (although DSOD fixed that). Or sent to the stars BS in GX. There's a reason why 4kids dubs are a meme.

As spergy as this whole argument is the dub changes are big enough not to get simply ignored. For example a random filler GX episode one of the characters goes from being an assassin to a lawyer that only speaks on law puns. Characters get pretty strange changes in general too, probably because 4kids had no idea of what was coming in the future so they made up their own shit (two characters end up sharing the military guy gimmick in GX despite only one having it originally as part of their backstory, the other is pretty much dub only and makes little sense in the context in an already nonsensical series at that point) or shit just getting glossed over and made silly by continuity fuckery like the backstory of the antagonist of the third season. Or the fourth season just not being dubbed at all. Not to mention the soundtracks in general are replaced with shit that's for the most part hit or miss, but never as good as the really good tracks in the original score.
TL;DR: filthy dub-watchers get an inferior chinese cartoon experience
lol the dipshits at Konami mistranslated Noble Knight Custennin's effect:
●この特殊召喚に成功した場合に発動できる。
このターン自分は通常召喚に加えて1度だけ、
自分メインフェイズにモンスター1体を召喚できる。
この効果の発動後、ターン終了時まで自分は「聖騎士」モンスターしかEXデッキから特殊召喚できない。
●If this card is Special Summoned:
You can Normal Summon 1 "Noble Knight" monster during your Main Phase this turn,
in addition to your Normal Summon/Set (you can only gain this effect once per turn),
also, you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn, except "Noble Knight" monsters.
So DUDE list is out. Thoughts? I personally think is not too bad, but the ED monsters are a bit garbage. Would be nice if Mudragon and Restrict were there instead of the nth decode talker and Gaia Knight. Also Instant Fusion would also be nice.

Strike and the ghost girls pay for itself basically. It's a pretty solid list. I was already planning on grabbing one for the ghost girls but I like some of the picks. Gameciel works great for my neglected Atlantean Mermails. Called By the Grave is an odd choice considering it was just reprinted in the megatin.
So far it's a pretty decent list. Monsters are eh, mostly staple extra deck fillers. I personally like staying within an archetype or two rather than just throw in Abyss Dweller because it's there. Would've liked to see a bit more staples that support various types of extra deck monsters. Super Polymerization I have never even seen played.
So, after all the scrambling and fleeing for cover, Danger has arrived in Japan… with a dismal sploosh at best.
Good on Konami for importing Nibiru waaaaay earlier than expected.

Yeah, as of now they could team up with Orcust of PKs at best. And with True Dracos back on the metagame, tournament results are actually getting very interesting with a lot of themes having potential to win.
Anyone else get the old Morphing Jar misprints that had the Maneater Bug ability? When I was a kid I went out of my way to get like six of them because I thought they were a special rare version and since then Morphing Jar was like my favorite card.

I remember reading a chapter of the YuGiOh manga in Shonen Jump at one point and it was fucking brutal, the gang was plopped into a room where a fucking serial killer gorilla nigga was chained to Yugi and they had to fight to the death, Yugi nearly got chainsawed and ended up burning the dude alive.
That shit wasn't in the 4Kids anime I'll tell you that for free.

Dragunities seem to be kinda dead. I was trying to check the DLM discord but there's nothing. A good "f2p" deck is Triamids. But I would wait to see how the meta shapes after the last hits. We also should receive a new Box soon. What other decks do you have available?
A Fairy deck is the ultimate meme
>card that turns all your opponents monsters into zombies
>monster that won't let zombie monsters attack
>token generator card
>monster that can negate magic/trap cards by sac'ing a token
Literally the only thing the person can do is quit the match.
I miss playing with a fairy deck.
