while the general lee is a cool car it is not the coolest car ever to grace the screen.
Definitely on board with The Bluesmobile, the MFP Interceptor (easy the most badass movie car ever) and the Smokey & The Bandit Trans-Am (because it comes in a set with that big rig).

The DeLorean is the least cool in that lineup, mainly because of the cliches and memes. It's just overexposed.

The fact that the General Lee is persona non grata in current year makes it cooler. It was always cool, but now that (((popular opinion))) has condemned it as a racist throwback, that just ups the cool factor IMHO.

even though The Dukes of Hazzard had nothing to do with race (other than NASCAR, but that's a completely different type of race), and most sane people who sit down and watch it will quickly realise it's super wholesome

This isn't to take away from the General Lee but there are plenty of cars that hit just as high if not higher on the cool scale. What the general lee does have is two good ole boys and their fine sister riding in the backseat, and depending on what your preferences are it definitely might up the cool factor.
That, plus the way it was driven week-in week-out for all those years. (and yes I know there were something like 300 General Lees wrecked over the course of the series).

Having said that, the Bluesmobile is the star of the coolest car chase ever captured on film. Whilst some might argue whether or not it's the best car chase of all time, it's unquestionably the coolest.

I focus more on my state flags nowadays. It better matches how my thinking about American culture has evolved anyways (I came to realize that the Upper South is rather different from the Deep South and has contributed way more to the country).

i'm really biased towards the blues mobile and it was funny when i looked up some lists online to see if i'd missed anything significant most of the lists were including stuff from like fast and furious and 007. like... yeah they're cool cars but i wouldn't consider them iconic. the stuff from 007 maybe because of the gadgets, but fast and furious cars don't seem iconic to me. also saw the cars they used for the italian job. definitely an iconic car as well but they only steal part of the show. stuff like general lee and the blues mobile are a character all their own.

kitt also came up but that feels like cheating. what were we talking about again? oh yeah flags. i think it's a shame that people want to lambast the general lee. without watching the show or the movies i kinda get it... it's named general lee and has a rebel flag on it surely they must be darn dirty racists but that gets dropped almost immediately upon watching the show. i wonder if there were any pro racial unity episodes in the show that a lot of shows from the time period had.

It's not even racist and anyone thinking it's linked to slavery (like some people in this thread) are retarded niggers.
Nice enough looking flag. I have fond memories of it from Dukes Of Hazard as a child.
Ikr. It's too bad even rightoids are falling for "It's le white supremaccyyy!" bullcrap.

The only flag i hate is the checked flag 🏁 because it reminds me of NASCAR which is just cars going around and around for hours like how is that fun.

It's fine. I have no particular attachment or emotional reaction to it. I had direct ancestors that fought on both sides of the War Between the States, like most true and honest, non hyphenated-Americans do. Southerners like to use it as a symbol of regional pride. Bikers and rednecks like it as a symbol of rebellion. Whatever.

Seems like the people who get the most worked up over it are shitlibs, anti-whites, and people who's ancestors have been in this country a lot shorter than mine (aka, those hyphenated-Americans). So in that sense, yeah, I like it. Fuck them and everything they stand for.

It's the fed-flag where I live. Used to be more prevalent in rightwing communities but those were replaced entirely with Trump flags.

I don't hate it, kind of like the way it looks, but I'm not a southerner so I'd never fly it or attach it to any property I own. I liked watching Dukes of Hazzard reruns when I was a kid. I don't think use of the flag means that someone is racist. What I do find interesting though is that the confederate flag became very mainstream and popular in the latter 20th century, not just with Dukes of Hazzard, but also Lynyrd skynyrd, allmans, and southern rock in general. And out west in Las Vegas and other parts of the American southwest, the "rebel" with a confederate flag was a popular mascot for high schools and gas stations and such

That's a video of Skynyd playing free bird in oakland in the 70s. Giant Confederate flag, tens of thousands of bay area residents in rapturous awe. Crazy how things can change so fast

It was source of contention in my house growing up. My mom hates it, my stepdad loved it. I'm the based centrist on it. I actually think it's pretty aesthetic, and in the modern era, most people seem to fly it as a symbol of Southern pride/a sense of rebellion rather than LETS HANG DEM NIGRAS. I probably wouldn't display one in my house, but I don't give a fuck if other people do, nor does it bother me if someone wears it or has it tattooed.

Andre from Outkast wore a Confederate flag belt buckle in the video for Ms. Jackson. Lynyrd Skynyrd had a huge one as a backdrop at a live show in Oakland, California, but it was the 70s. Truly, another time.

Im sure most retards know this but this is the actual flag of The Confederate States of America. Why do people only care about the battle flag?
One of my favorite factoids is that Georgia's old flag had the battle flag in it, causing predictable asshurt. So they changed it - to the actual Confederate flag with a seal in the middle of the stars. Since most people are illiterate retards, it largely goes unnoticed.

It's a lot less colorful than the regular USA flag
This fucking thing just gets uglier and uglier. They had a perfect, amazingly identifiable flag for years, a rainbow, colorful and harmonious. Then they shove in all this other ugly ass shit for non-whites and trannoids, and apparently intersex people too. Intersex aren't even part of their tribe, unless its a fag, dyke, or bi intersex person. Non-whites were included in the rainbow already, and trannoids, well, that's their gods now so I guess that's the way it goes.

I agree with people above who say that more people should fly state flags. I think the problem there is, a lot of those are bland to ugly, and a lot of Americans don't have any state pride.

Most of the Southern and a fair number of the Western state flags are very strong. I'll make a list of the ones I like when I have the time.
