A console without a disk-reader is the tech equivalent of a tranny.Even the console is a troon now. What a world.
If they think this is what people will seriously think then they are so incredibly out of touch that its not even funny.
Because when I think about buying a video game console, the first thing I consider is: are they doing enough for the environment?Fuck me this is cringe
I'm starting to notice a pattern.
>I feel like Xbox really knows me, giving me tons of options, ways to customize and personalized suggestions
Yeah, and that's with the complete review blackout they got thanks to the AMA where the dev mocked the idea of black people in 1400's rural Bohemia. I just hope Embracer didn't move any of the Volition devs over there to "help" after SR bombed...That horseshit died down once the actual game came out. Since then, it sold 5 or 6 million copies, plus dlc. For Czechia that's a ton, and Embracer's hurting for well performing studios.
I think this really just shows how corporate and out-of-touch MS has gotten, and I think its safe to say the executives will learn absolutely nothing from the relentless mockery the Internet will be giving them.>I feel like Xbox really knows me, giving me tons of options, ways to customize and personalized suggestions
Said literally no actual person ever in regards to spyware fueled ai suggestion algorithms
MS have always been corporate and out of touch.I think this really just shows how corporate and out-of-touch MS has gotten,
I'm aware, but never to this degree. This is so bad they'd be toppled like Xerox was if not for their vise-like control of the PC ecosystem with Windows and Office. Their gaming division is going to die an ignominious and unmourned death and MS will wonder how it happened, clueless about every single bad step they made along the way.MS have always been corporate and out of touch.
No, Microsoft has always been a scummy corporate piece of shit company from the very beginning and I really can't understand why anyone thinks they've ever been anything but that. I'm also not sure why anyone finds any of this leaked shit really all that surprising most of it seems like pretty much what you'd expect from Microsoft.I'm aware, but never to this degree. This is so bad they'd be toppled like Xerox was if not for their vise-like control of the PC ecosystem with Windows and Office.
To be very honest, their gaming division always seemed like a hair step away from disaster at all times since the XBox 360. Anyone remember the disaster that was Kinect? I don't think that ever made money. They were extremely fortunate to land HALO, GOW and a few other games as XBox flagships that carried the XBox brand in the western market through the OG XBox and 360 era, but of course they drove every good franchise they had into the ground.I'm aware, but never to this degree. That is exactly my point. They made a ton of bad decisions but somehow could make a good one every now and then to keep them treading water. Now they're just doubling down on their prior incompetence to the point where a retard choosing things at random would be more likely to make a smarter choice than them.To be very honest, their gaming division always seemed like a hair step away from disaster at all times since the XBox 360. I haven't bought any of their stuff late, but even with the Legacy of the Void release of StarCraft 2; if you bought the physical box, they still gave you a disc. Granted they also told you to just fucking input the key on Battlenet and download it from there, but still, they gave you a disc, if only just because.I don't like discs and most of my library is digital.
I have 0 fucking idea why you would launch a console without a disc tray. Like is it that hard to just do what Valve/Sony does and just try and value add digital items and still have a disc tray? Christ it's embarassing.
Microsoft doesn't seem to have a real clear vision on this and that roadmap is hilarious to compare to what we know today - in terms of how behind they are. They 100% need to get someone under Phil Spencer who can tard wrangle all of the various Xbox Game Studios into actual producing games that aren't complete garbage and they need to do it like 4 years ago.
South Park : TFBW pretty much nailed it in the opening segment:"It's not a cylinder anymore, it's a, uh, a ball! Yeah! A ball, and it hooks up to your home VM... to your windows 12 S-mode only computer and you can share live media account information seamlessly. It also plays television, did I mention the television?"
M$ has forgotten the eternal directive of their emissary from the Booze Dimension:You know those dumb games that Nintendo always has a drip feed of? Those games that "real gamers" make fun of? Maybe Microsoft needs more releases like Part Time UFO or Kirby's Dream Buffet (HAL Labs, a great second party dev and the model for how it should be done) every few months to keep your fans playing games and to keep your developers sharp. Microsoft needs some smaller, regular release types of games (of good quality) to fill these holes and buy time.
Between Sony having no games for the PS5 for three years and Microsoft buying studios and having nothing materialize for the Xbox Series X, this might be the biggest shitshow of a gaming generation so far. Even the 7th gen hardware issues were eventually solved by this time into that gen and there were actual exclusives to tilt you either towards the PS3 or Xbox 360.Sums up xbox one and series x thus far. Can buy all the studios you want but it doesn't matter if your not going to do anything with them. I imagine most ips they get from blizz/activsion will be in dev hell and shelved indefinitely.
They aren't out of touch, they know exactly what they're doing. If they think this is what people will seriously think then they are so incredibly out of touch that its not even funny.
I still remember back in 2014-2015 when Platinum Games' Scalebound was the next hyped thing for the Shitbox. The cancellation of it gave players a lost hope for the console. Combine this with the utterly retarded Xbox One release (TV, TV, TEEVEE) that ruined its reputation, the release of Bloodborne the next year and the awful reviews of Halo 5 sealed the final nail in the coffin for Xbox to be considered even a console. The release of Redfall was made to remind everyone of this fact.Between Sony having no games for the PS5 for three years and Microsoft buying studios and having nothing materialize for the Xbox Series X, this might be the biggest shitshow of a gaming generation so far.
