The two companies have totally different management styles. Nintendo checks in regularly with working titles and rarely cancels games. There are times that they may cancel a title, but the team working on the team takes that work and does something else with it. If a game isn't working out, they can usually salvage it by rolling into something else or using a different IP. Games often don't have an IP in mind or can be flexible when first thought up. Tons of classic games started out as tech demos and Nintendo felt confident enough to give them their own IPs, think F-Zero, Splatoon, Pikmin, etc. Other game concepts are seen as not too up to speed so they slap on an IP coat of paint and get it out the door on a budget.

Microsoft seems to be hyperfocused on specific IPs. The studios start with an idea to make an 'IP n++', get a huge enormous budget and are essentially left to their own devices, except to be sure to include a laundry list of mandatory DEI initiatives. The studio can't get it under control, and instead of spinning it off or reworking the title, they scrap the whole thing because it was so tied into the IP in the first place.

Nintendo also has a stronger R&D mindset. Microsoft's approach to R&D has always been very 'as-needed'. Microsoft has largely relied on just buying up or licensing other companies' tech and that's exactly what we're seeing here. Nintendo actually budgets out R&D time for devs to make tech demos and other toys without needing it beholden to a specific title or IP.

They couldn't even make the gimped version lower than the Steam Deck, let alone the SWITCH 2. They had such an easy win for something that's going to suck really hard.

Dare I say I'm actually interested in the Xbox Ally. I really liked the normal Z1E Rog Ally despite it's flaws ( Windows bloat, occasional system crashes, unoptimized gaming experience etc).

The Xbox Ally seems to fix most of the early models problems, and the new optimized windows gaming mode looks really good ( a genuine Steam OS competitor ).

Guess I'll be buying one.

Why do you care about "native Xbox " versions when you can play the superior PC versions ( and install mods ) ?

Also the reason it's not OLED is because the Xbox Ally's display is a sweet 120Hz with VRR. If you ask me VRR is much more important than having an OLED screen that will die after a year of usage.
