I'm convinced they sent him for that training as a joke, because he was so stubborn and ineffective.

In companies where they don't just casually hire and fire, there's usually a disciplinary process where, before they fire you, they do whatever they can to salvage you, either because they're just creating a record to defend themselves if you sue, or because they're legitimately trying to turn you into a functional employee.

Either way it goes, though, if it ever gets into litigation, they can say look we did this, we did that, we did this whole chain of attempts to resolve this employee's situation in any way other than firing him, and we have hundreds of pages of paper proving all this shit, and this cunt still remained completely useless, so we finally fired him, not because he was black, or a pigroach, but because he was provably (and here is a bunch of proof) a completely useless motherfucker.

The only thing that prevented Phil from being fired from Sikorsky long before he was finally "laid off" due to the financial crisis was his dad being high-level management who had been there for 35+ years. They did Dave a favor and probably trusted him enough to where he could keep on eye on things. Phil was absolutely worthless on his own and everybody knew it, that's why he ended up working directly under his dad and was only allowed to do group projects (that Phil naturally tries to take full credit for). He had to have been the worst employee there, hands down (I'm sure a common theme everywhere he worked), and it must have killed his coworkers knowing there was almost no chance of him being fired under normal circumstances. Still, given enough time he would have fucked up badly enough at some point to where he had to be let go. Phil seems to have a pretty disturbing pattern of not knowing how to behave himself in the workplace: harassing female employees (carpool girl), taking advantage of company rules to financially benefit himself (Best Buy) and getting into arguments with his boss (bank). He hasn't been in the work force for 10+ years and A LOT has changed. Even if he did somehow manage to get a job at Microsoft (lol) like he claims he will another 10 years from now, he most likely wouldn't even get through the company's probationary period.

Phil also had 3 jobs in his 4 years at the helicopter plant (he claims he started in '04 but since we know he worked at Best Buy until '06 I'm calling bullshit). "Frequent transfers" is practically synonymous with "problem employee", so they were probably putting him in out of the way idiot-proof positions and he still found a way to screw them up. This also lines up with "His father protected him" since Helicopter Support's page is lousy with nepotism complaints; David probably convinced them to demote Phil instead of firing him but eventually his credibility ran out too.

You’re absolutely correct that the best way to protect yourself as an employer from potential Department of Labor litigations that could stem from disgruntled fired employees is to provide consistent documentation that clearly demonstrate employee incompetence and attempts at rectification of problematic behavior (tardiness issues, constantly taking unapproved OT, failing you meet specific deadlines, etc).

Another good way to make it even more difficult for employees to litigate you successfully is to make them sign an arbitration agreement meaning that any disputes would be settled through private litigation, dissuading employees from paying exorbitant lawyer fees and settling for pennies on the dollar on the employer side by paying a small sum when this could cost you tens of thousands of dollars.

Dark would never have proper justification to sue Sikorsky because most states have an at-will employment policy meaning they can fire and hire anybody without much justification anyways.

"Hey, boss, I can't come to work tomorrow. It's a family emergency, I need to make sauce. What do you mean 'do it on your own time?' It's my day off dood!"

And it's this type of nonsense that makes his so called 10/15 year "plan" pure bullshit. I'm new to the detractor game but imho to a recruiter/employer he is a walking nightmare. Any cursory Google search would reveal a Pandora's box of nonsense, incompetence and a pattern of lies and greed. Even if he somehow get lucky and gets a position, do you honestly think this idiot will be able to keep up and learn his position???...HELL NO!

Not to mention the ultra speds that would probably mail his job pictures of him masturbating, call them and just be a general nuisance.

Holy shit I just took a look and the person who manages that account must be confused as hell, literally every thread has DSP pics at the top lol

In terms of just being really into something and setting aside the $40k, I don't see it as much different to following a sports team/comic books/games etc. It's ultimately just a soap opera, which millions of people of all ages watch and talk about. Although the odd thing about Phil is he doesn't seem to talk about it at all?

Most people at least have a variety of interests, if nothing more the interest is taking pleasure in something. For Phil its just food/booze, talking about himself, and wrassling and literally nothing else. Everything else he hates has absolutely no interest in or its just to make the day go by faster. He's even thoroughly disinterested in sex nowadays it seems.

"Nowadays"

Wrestling seems to be one of his only true joys in life alongside food. The meltdown against pwdubs about the wrestlemania spoiler is really amazing/pathetic, and frankly showed a vulnerability which hopefully trolls will exploit by making future spoilers. Imagine being 38 and behaving this way, and then uploading a video of your meltdown to youtube.

Not hating if there are any wrestling fans here, but what can be inferred from a grown man being that into wrestling? Anything? It might be a cultural thing, but is it normal in the united states for a man Phil's age to be that into it? I think in many countries a grown man would probably be embarrassed to admit they watched it. It all seems particularly childish.

Believe it or not, DSP is 14 years YOUNGER than the median WWE audience viewer of 52.

Edit: It might actually be 54 now according to a Forbes 2017 article. Either way, their biggest demographic now is 50+.

Phil is such an absolute fuckup even nepotism couldn't save him.

Places that feel compelled to do sleazy shit like this are usually terrible places to work that have a hard time keeping good employees or, sometimes, just even remotely competent ones.

That study only shows TV viewers which heavily skews it towards older people in this mahdern era. The point has stood for as long as I've been following wrestling, though... the average audience never gets younger no matter how kiddy they make the product. There's a ton of nostalgic viewers that keep watching thinking it will get better, and that's a big target for a game like WWE Champions.

iirc it doesn't count whatever their sub service is which a lotta young people/cable cutters use.

On the twitter thing. Imagine some gacha intern sees this and reaches out to this weirdo internet streamer meme man as a kind of viral marketing attempt.

Imagine Phil either having to 1. Admit he played the game all along so WWE sempai notices him or 2. Never ever mention the contact while seething trolls ruined his limelight.

Why would they be confused though? 'TheyCallMeDSP' is literally frequently one of the Top 10 placing accounts in their game. Maybe they'll start @'ing Phil's Twitter account and some hilarity will ensue.

Having a whale place high on their games and having people spamming some streamer are two different things.

Yeah they'll go 'oh huh that guy' but its not like Phil's a streamer of the game or someone known 'in the circle' for content/whaling.

As far as Scopley knows/cares he's just some dude who whales.

I wonder if a gacha sponsorship would last longer than the chair one...

Prowrestling has always seemed very odd and boring to me. I think sports is generally falling out of favor with the younger crowd as they're pulled in different directions with all the newer distractions such as vidya games and streamwhoring. It may stick around as a big thing but it is no longer the top 'thing'. Most of the guys I know who are really into sports (as in the traditional sit around watching a rich professional team, actually participating in a sport is an entirely different matter) skew older and the younger guys who are in it aren't in it as much, ie they become more like typical women sports fans. Leading the charge into irrelevance are the weird niche 'sports' like prowrassling. I dunno does anybody else notice these patterns?

Wrasslin and sports have very little overlap. Wrassling is a niche more like saturday morning cartoons or anime. Think DBZ not football.

When wrestling is good its more about the soap opera story telling and physical performances than anything else. Its Days of out Lives with possessed bikers from hell and hackflip belly flops off the top ropes.

Wrestling can be really cool but its also been pretty lame since the 90s when Vince tried to family friendly it up for tv deals. Great for money, bad for entertainment.

But its not even close to a sport.

I think wrestling was at its best and most profitable when the lines were blurred in treating wrestling like a sport. Everyone knows its fake except really young kids and fans in 3rd world shitholes (India), but there's still merit in guys reaching the top with their efforts being rewarded. The sports comparison could be that the wrestler you like will get to the top as long as he's entertaining, putting on great matches, etc... whereas if you're a Buffalo Bills fan, you're only stuck chasing the reward knowing you'll probably never see it in your life.

Wrestling is slowly dying similar to all sports because sports have been the driving force keeping cable/satellite absurdly profitable since the 80s, as TV has been slowly dying over the past 15 years.

But whatever, Paul Dave Pigroach likes sweaty gay gacha ack ack ack snort.
