His patreon barely coves a fifth of his spending on the latest event. The credit card theory is likely, or his parents gave him the money to pay his attorney fees which he spent on this instead.

While that would be a very Phil thing to do, we have at least some reason to think that things are bit strained between he and his folks. Not to mention that Phil's need to whale out isn't going to be satiated by this one time deal, and if he has even a modicum of awareness of that, I doubt he would arrive at this option.

But we'll find out soon enough, because if he keeps it up, that means he's on credit again. I don't care how much of an enabler mommy is, she isn't rich enough to keep up with that ravenous monkey on Phil's back. Not for long.

I assumed the 13-14 maxed out credit cards he had prior to the bankruptcy were all in his name. Now what's to stop him from making Kat get credit cards in her name to run up and her file bankruptcy in a few years seeing how it worked in his favor last time.

With how tilted Phil gets at the mere suggestion of Katherine paying for anything, color me doubtful. For whatever reason, he is VERY insistent on there being a solid wall between his finances and hers.

And by "for whatever reason", I really mean this entire fucking thread is the reason.

Patreon processes payments on the first of the month which pays out in 1-5 business days (i.e. DSP should have received about $590 on the first week of June) so knowing him that money was probably spent immediately lol

If there are any European kiwi's, you should be able to look up the pull rates due to laws over there for Scopley. Unlike the US, they are supposed to be upfront about that sort of thing.

I'm not so sure. This spending quite a departure from how Phil used to operate. There is a reason for it, there always is, and it's probably not one that bodes well for his future, because it almost never does.

Look how long it took for the CT Khando to be repossessed, and that's not even anyone's primary residence. Even if Phil starts missing mortgage payments, he'll be able to drag things out endlessly.

Providing the seed for the idea that Dave has a SERIOUS ADULT WAIF in exchange for 3 hots and a cot plus maybe a bit of spending money.

Dave's clearly doing his own thing with Champions and the bankruptcy with minimal to zero input from thumbskhet. She does not seem a very intellectually curious person its probable she doesn't/barely knows or cares about Dave's shenanigans with Scopely or even his bankruptcy. Even if she did know, she likely sees it rightly or wrongly as dave's own business and she doesn't have to pay it any heed. They are off in their own worlds doing their own thing.

So I don't understand all the theories of chad Thumbskhet throwing her weight around influencing this or that. Thumbskhet and dave are basically just housemates. The only thumbskhet making all these decisions and influence on Dave is the fictional one in dsptales.

At least he used to have nerdy, worthless statues to show for it.

Phil has never grown beyond the Wolverine Figure stage in life.
