Yes, I'm not arguing against that. I'm arguing against the idea they somehow don't have their own causes or trends and are just somehow totally absent, passive entities. Most zoomers are still playing by the rules, so they're going to lose. This is a totally value-neutral statement IMO; there's no judgment or blaming of zoomers involved, it's just what's happening. I don't "blame" zoomers for this, because the culture they grew up in prepared them for Office Space but the world they got is Grapes of Wrath.
Sure, but by your own metric you could say this of every generation since the Lost Generation, whose world and paradigm we're still suffering under. I don't think it's a particularly useful observation. Most people in every generation are passive and 'ineffective', it's the great men who seize the moment. The thing that's remarkable is that the institutions have become so inhuman that they've stifled the ability of the zoomers to manifest theirs. This stifling was already showing with the millennials compared to Gen X, but the millennials still produced (and monopolized) much of the tech sector. The oldest members of Gen Z will be 30 this year, the last Gen Zeds who went off to college before covid will be 25. Their most successful bracket are girls who found novel ways to monetize their sexuality. It's a fact that zoomers are weak and ineffective as a generation. They suck now (no offense), and will mostly continue to suck even if some individuals rise up to buck the trend.
