Most zoomers are still playing by the rules, so they're going to lose. This is a totally value-neutral statement IMO; there's no judgment or blaming of zoomers involved, it's just what's happening. I don't "blame" zoomers for this, because the culture they grew up in prepared them for Office Space but the world they got is Grapes of Wrath.
Yes, I'm not arguing against that. I'm arguing against the idea they somehow don't have their own causes or trends and are just somehow totally absent, passive entities.
It's a fact that zoomers are weak and ineffective as a generation. They suck now (no offense), and will mostly continue to suck even if some individuals rise up to buck the trend.
Sure, but by your own metric you could say this of every generation since the Lost Generation, whose world and paradigm we're still suffering under. I don't think it's a particularly useful observation. Most people in every generation are passive and 'ineffective', it's the great men who seize the moment. The thing that's remarkable is that the institutions have become so inhuman that they've stifled the ability of the zoomers to manifest theirs. This stifling was already showing with the millennials compared to Gen X, but the millennials still produced (and monopolized) much of the tech sector. The oldest members of Gen Z will be 30 this year, the last Gen Zeds who went off to college before covid will be 25. Their most successful bracket are girls who found novel ways to monetize their sexuality.

Ehh, you took my words too literally. Obviously they have trends, but compared to the strength of 20th century trends they're non-entities. Or if we're calling what zoomers have trends, then we need an even stronger term to describe what happened culturally from the 1960s to the 1990s, because it's just not the same kind of thing. What zoomers have should really be called "fads", whereas things that are more culturally and socially impacful should be called "trends". But you can label it how you want.

I disagree. "Greatness" is a spectrum, not a binary. Great civilizations are built up by tapping into the spark of greatness that exists within the common man, whereas civilizations decay when they lose sight of this. I genuinely wouldn't call the Lost Generation passive or ineffective. They had more of that classic American spirit and grit in them, that was just how people used to be. Was everyone a George Washington or Rockefeller? No, but they were much closer than the average zoomer. Are American institutions heavily responsible for killing off that kind of American? Of course. But how or why it happened isn't super important. Maybe it's just entropy. It's just a fact that it did. America used to be a very different place. Americans really used to be a pretty impressive people.

I'm certainly looking forward to Rudy's suggestions for "how to buck the digital age", let's hope it's better than his "manifesto"

Well Stolas provided Captain Styx with harem.... So maybe , but I am not sure if price was worth it.
Being a cool vampirate on the Internet that gets bitches is worth any price.

Rudyard, did Odin ever give you any hoes? No, he only asked you for your fap list and molested you. Stop listening to that gay Swedish cuck and embrace the dark side.

Screen addiction is another important variable. Rudy has spent a year decentering himself from the internet. He's been very successful. I'll have to check his X to confirm
Sounds like he's scapegoating "screen addiction" for his meltdown last year when it was obviously his taking drugs like ayahuasca and kratom while having a latent schizophrenic disposition.

My co-workers were talking deeply today about how doomed we are and being very vague about it, so when I asked them what they mean they said they watched a YouTube video and they can send me that video because it explains it better. That video ended up being this.

I admit I haven't watched it yet, but I must ask, is Rudyard really that popular? Or are my co-workers just spergs?

His videos appeal to and are popular with performatively intelligent and elitist spergs with a chip on their shoulder.

So the Dissident Right?
We are talking about guy who claims that he has magical powers, because Odin raped him.
He is historysperg who has been watching mainstream rightwing and manosphere YouTubers for last ten years.
If you ignore his schizo posting. Talk about Civil war, incel revolution and his desire to turn back time to the era before industrial Revolution. (Because that was time when The Left ruined everything).
He is your basic bitch MAGA guy.
He likes Trump. He likes Musk (Musk watched his videos lol). And he unironically uses term woke right for those rightwingers who don't like Israel.
