I would say the same thing about Rocky, Anna

Speaking of, what's the deal with Rocky and Anna? I know Anna occasionally whiteknights on Facebook, but does she really have his back? She didn't help him when his house burned down (as far as I know), and she went to Utah to be a Mormon. And didn't Rocky drop contact when Chris left the church?

inb4 late ratings.

I remember one of the insiders on the forums saying something about how Chris and Barb still call rocky when they need a favor.
As for Anna, I think she basically left the ass patting to Waterhead because she finally gave up on Chris. Waterhead comes off as the kind of white knight idiot who would do something like that for a long time in a futile attempt to try and impress a lady.

Anna's useless to Chris.

Rocky is on call for Chris for the right situation. Like, he called her out of the blue to film his mcdonalds lego video a year or two ago, for example.

Heh, well, watermelon just hangs around to make nonsensical comments on Chris' shit and/or mock him subtly.

I could've swore multiple times in the house tour video he said he wanted to clean the place but Barb wouldn't let him. When she dies he'll probably clean it little by little, starting from the hallways into the different rooms, even Chris can't probably stand living in a place so cluttered and unhygienic, unless someones forcing him to. Especially if accommodating future galpals is part of the equation. Even despite his room having too much clutter, it was relatively organized. Chris, unlike Barbara, has limits.

If he publicized a yard sale to get rid of it, you know a certain clientele would come from miles away.
Oh, the fun it would be.

Would the extended family even know when Barb drops? Bob's side seem so isolated from Barb that I doubt Chris would even bother contacting them. And Cole ignores Chris.

(Re one of the earlier posts - I think the reason people are talking about Cole rather than any of the Chandlers is because Cole is better known, due to being a lolcalf himself)

I find all this "relatives will help Chris after Barb kicks it" talk hilarious. None of them have done jack shit for the Chandlers in years, nigh, decades. As much I retroactively like Bob, and as much as he tried to reconcile, there was something, probably Barb, that sent every relative away to obscurity. They barely know who he is. If they're smart they know about his internet presence and would be very careful about dealing with him. How much ween shit has Cole had to endure? ( I know, I know that many here don't like Cole but face it, dude's living in NYC doing what he wants, even if he can't gp bigtime).

Nope, once Barb kicks it on her chair Chris will have a limited support network. He'll adapt, as Marv had mentioned, but it will be tough. Nobody will care in his blood relation. They've cut ties long ago.

Anecdote: One of my cousins, a nice person who has did well with her life, had a child shot in a retarded drive-by. Child died. I had zero idea how to react. She is a first cousin in my quite tiny family. But besides Facebook I have not talked to her in decades. Do I feel bad? Hell yes! But I barely know her. Her friends in the area are far more important than anything my dumbass can do. I assume Chris is the same. His relatives have no idea and, as above, know him from the internet, they want nothing to do with him.

Chris is limited to his local support network. Aka, Rocky and maybe, maybe, some of new acquaintances.

Has Barb failed to alienate even one person in her family other than Chris?
She's in weekly phone contact with one of her relatives...maybe a sister? I forget. Still, they won't tell her their address, indicating some rapprochement but still a desire to keep her at arm's length.

She seems to be getting thinner, though not in a way that makes her look healthier. Just dwindling and collapsing, like a rotting pumpkin.
But when she dies her corpse will bloat as it lies in her recliner and Chris just thinks she's sleeping a lot.

Barb obviously doesn't have a lot of mileage left. The hoard will finish her before long.

Seriously though, until she was filmed leaving court, we hadn't (AFAIK) seen her for two years, and she's looking pretty decrepit now. She obviously doesn't get out that much any more and every now and then Chris mentions another medical condition she has that we didn't know about. I can't help but think she's on her last legs.

Ummm...Anna's his cousin...

Anna's off being a NEET all by her lonesome, probably totally given up on e-fame of any kind. Her legacy in CWC's lifetime lives on. The sad part is Chris is the only thing interesting about her whole life.

That strikes me as incredibly bizarre.

Addresses are not usually kept secret. Families toss around each other's addresses for things like Christmas cards like they are nothing. I wouldn't think twice about giving anyone in my family my address. Or giving them the address of some other family member. Hell, most people have their addresses listed in phone books.

Not telling her their address indicates they are really pushing her away. And that they are concerned that if she knew their address she would show up uninvited (maybe even if she was explicitly asked not to) and be a serious imposition.

So from that I extrapolate that they can't really like Barb at all. And keeping in contact with her is purely a sense of duty to an otherwise isolated family member. I find that fairly respectable. It also signals that they might be willing to help Chris out a little if the time comes out of a similar sense of duty. They could go to similar lengths to keep him at arm's length, but they might talk to him every now and then or make the occassional inquiry or phone call on his behalf.

What I really see as unavoidable is that Chris will remain as toxic a person in the future as he is today. CWCki perspective notwithstanding (and my previous post was taken apart because I'd sourced it heavily in the CWCki), Chris seems to be very bad at dealing with others:

1) He looks weird.
2) Jokes about Axe and Crapped Briefs aside, Chris smells bad.
3) Chris is boring in general
4) Chris doesn't seem to understand boundaries as a fine point.
5) Chris is very lazy.
6) Chris is very egotistical.

It's just really hard to see Chris doing anything well as a result. Impulse is legitimately a good thing for Chris--but it's really hard to see Chris making it with a circle of friends. Throughout Christory, Chris has entirely LACKED friends. He regrets not having sex with his Gal-Pals in High School; he's openly trying to have sex with Lesbians from Impulse.

This does not suggest that he will build a large circle of new friends at Impulse. Aren't his new friends already bailing on him?

If Chris can't build anything socially, he probably can't do much at all.

IIRC, the family cast Barb out because...well, she's a lying sociopath, obviously, but mainly because she tried to seduce one of her sisters' husbands back in the day, which was the last straw. I don't think any of them ever forgave her for that, except Corrina.

I've no clue what any of them think of Chris, but he doesn't seem to think they like him either.
