Would the extended family even know when Barb drops? Bob's side seem so isolated from Barb that I doubt Chris would even bother contacting them. And Cole ignores Chris.
(Re one of the earlier posts - I think the reason people are talking about Cole rather than any of the Chandlers is because Cole is better known, due to being a lolcalf himself)
I find all this "relatives will help Chris after Barb kicks it" talk hilarious. None of them have done jack shit for the Chandlers in years, nigh,
decades. As much I retroactively like Bob, and as much as he tried to reconcile, there was something, probably Barb, that sent every relative away to obscurity. They barely know who he is. If they're smart they know about his internet presence and would be very careful about dealing with him. How much ween shit has Cole had to endure? ( I know, I know that many here don't like Cole but face it, dude's living in NYC doing what he wants, even if he can't gp bigtime).
Nope, once Barb kicks it on her chair Chris will have a limited support network. He'll adapt, as Marv had mentioned, but it will be tough. Nobody will care in his blood relation. They've cut ties long ago.
Anecdote: One of my cousins, a nice person who has did well with her life, had a child shot in a retarded drive-by. Child died. I had zero idea how to react. She is a first cousin in my quite tiny family. But besides Facebook I have not talked to her in decades. Do I feel bad? Hell yes! But I barely know her. Her friends in the area are far more important than anything my dumbass can do. I assume Chris is the same. His relatives have no idea and, as above, know him from the internet, they want nothing to do with him.
Chris is limited to his local support network. Aka, Rocky and maybe,
maybe, some of new acquaintances.
