Here's what I think is likely to happen:
With Barb out of the way, and the body possibly taken care of, he'll probably claim the house (assuming Barb hasn't drawn up a will stating otherwise) because he has no fucking clue what it takes to own even a small house. I really only know about property taxes where I live (taxes are astronomical where I live), but I can only assume that Ruckersville has property taxes that take up a good portion of the monthly tugboat, then there's water, electric, internet, and all sorts of other bills (credit card debt.)
I assume that instead of paying for the important things, like paying his debt down, or pay for water, electricity, etc. he'll buy toys and shit. If that's the case, then his internet will be cut off, his water and electric will be cutoff, his cell phone service will cease or collections will come and make him pay. Debt collectors for the credit card companies are also going to be paying him a visit. His mom probably takes care of the bills to some extent.
Houses, also, coincidentally take upkeep. Something is always breaking. A new toilet here, a dent in the wall there, some old faulty wiring. Lot of things go wrong. Chris probably is unaware that a house needs upkeep, or doesn't care.
The point is, he's going to run out of money quite fast. He'll either need to get a job, or find a significant other to mooch off of. The latter option will not happen, and even if it did, relationships require give and take. Chris doesn't understand that his "Sweetheart" will eventually throw him out for contributing nothing.
Conclusion: He's going to be out on the street, in jail/prison, or may rise above the odds an surprise us all
