@dick brain That's very interesting. So I don't want to lose that much weight - really just 2-3kg of fat so one week almost achieves that. Maybe does achieve it depending on the amount of exercise. I am getting close to losing it just by moderate calorie deficit though. I'm not especially overweight and with my height and build it's concealable. But I'd like to be leaner. Really what I want to be doing soon is training more for sports which I'd like to take up again. And more endurance - my running is shot to Hell compared to what it used to be.
All that said, how often have you been doing the 4-5 day fasts? Might be interesting to try though I'm still wary of it provoking some counter-swing the following week. The nice thing with just moderate restriction is that for the most part, I don't get that. And cravings I've found tend to go away mostly just by avoiding sugar for a sufficient period.
This has spiralled out of control really though - all I was saying was that re-introducing weight training has made me a lot hungrier than usual. I'm surprised if there are people for whom that isn't true.
