watch dogs 1 story and its crazy that it literally involves the protag dealing with Epstein-level sex slavery and political corruption. the serial killer shit was insane looking back, especially for a game where most of it involved blowing up cars.
Shame it didn’t elaborate further. Just complete the side missions, listen to some expository dialogue, checkbox completed.

i didnt like getting into brawling matches with cops that went on for longer than 5 minutes and more just kept coming as most characters i played never had a gun. least in 2 they let you have 2 guns and you could switch them out at the hackerspace. outside of that specific character, youre stuck with what you got
You can have more than one gun though??? You can have two equipped at a time. It's just that most characters for some stupid reason aren't allowed to use a gun period, or can only use one specific type of gun. (Like only pistols, only rifles, ect.) Then there's Aiden who can use most weapon types in the game. On top of that even though it isn't listed in his skills he has Gunkata which lets you do takedowns on enemies with your gun equipped even in the middle of combat basically bypassing fights pretty easily. Literally just run up to them and press X.
Seriously Aiden is so strong the only thing that would've been better would've been if they brought back his ability to slow down time from the first game.

Again why would I play as anyone else?
Tbh I think the only reason I had so much fun with it is because the gameplay is so easy it kind of brings back the feeling of the old Assassin's Creed games where if you aren't a complete retard you can just fucking merk everyone. And the takedown animations don't help that feeling.

There's a weapon wheel in Watch Dogs, yes.

There should've been a difficulty setting where Aiden would be limited to his pistol, baton, slo-mo and hacking skills during combat. All other weapons would just be pick-ups that would be dropped after use.

There's no knives. All of the melee weapons are blunt. :story:
There's not a single knife in a game set in LONDON!
I guess Ubisoft took the slain knife attacks in London quite literally. Come to think of it, I don't recall a sharp, melee object in Watch Dogs 1 or 2.

no melee fighting system really existed in either game. aiden had a baton and marcus had a little ball on a string. legion is the first one to actually have a melee system because of the brawling mechanic. maybe if it was successful and they did a watch dogs tokyo (which exists as a comic and not much else) there'd be a system for swords n shit.

It's hilarious too because you know they did it on purpose it wasn't an oversight. I mean you can get all kinds of guns in fucking London somehow, but not a knife?
They knew, there's no way they didn't.

I also found a mod that converts most of the albion soldiers to cops and tbh that mod made me realize, it's also really funny how they seemingly pussed out on making le government the bad guy and instead made it a PMC or something. Another very funny observation. They couldn't even fully commit.
