I feel like that meme is somehow going to get me murdered. But it pretty much encapsulates the "mythical hardworking superhero Warren" perfectly and is very funny and flattering. Isn't it from some alt right meme about "soyboys" or something though?
Also I don't think I've shown a lot of respect or awareness.

The original "Virgin Walk" vs "Chad Stride" is a meme from the incel/MGTOW/TRP movements. I believe it originated on 4chan and kind of blew up to encompass a ton of knockoffs.

But anyway, back to the original point: So are we cool? You got the crown of dicks you asked for, and then later got it revoked and replaced with these two because you

1. Earned my respect for at least somewhat standing up for yourself in the face of getting fired (you could have reacted a lot worse.)

2. Don't want to admit how much you were pushing to get a dicking in the first place

What I mean to say is that being politically "progressive" doesn't mean that you don't run with (lower case) liberal social crowds and behave like them.

It is a stereotypical liberal behavior for a white male to allow a woman - or a trans person - to treat them badly, as you have allowed Brianna to treat you.

Whether you support trannys or not (and why not? It's their lives, let them live it how they want), you must understand that it's the LYING that is the problem here. We can't be 100% sure these two events were connected, but it seems awfully coincidental. Amanda Warner was Wu's first employee at Giant Spacekat and was described as co-founder for its entire history, and this is how she was treated when she quit. Needless to say Wu has never endorsed any of her former employees on linkedin.

I would say I guy who puts up with stuff from women is called a "gentleman".
The only things I disagree with liberals about:
-ignoring the working families
-selling out to the Republicans
-having no substance
-all talk and no action
-choosing wedge issues over bread and butter issues
-"Preferring a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice"

No I don't think we are "cool" and I think we may very much disagree on politics and/or women's rights. But the meme is flattering and made me laugh.

I didn't mention anything about soyboys or cucks. I'm merely pointing out that you happen to fit a stereotype of liberals, if that has something to do with cucks to you then that's for you to decide.

Further, Brianna was your employer. Not some girl you were trying to court (I think.) It does not make you a gentleman to get dicked around by your employer. I suspect that you're not exactly a real mover and shaker when it comes to participating in the workforce in an upwardly mobile way, but man, it is not normal to be so weary about finding out details about your employer. Like when you go to a job interview, you bring an application and a portfolio along to prove what you're capable of. Similarly, you should demand the same of your employer, to prove that they are worthy of your time and effort. Instead, you took Brianna's word for everything and settled for "having fun" while she's pocketing donations and building a twitter following so that she can get paid more money for her BlueApron sponsorships.

You just seem unable to stand up for yourself and it's kind of a bummer.

Ouch. I've done little more than try to enlighten you and welcome you here with open arms and spent my own personal time to draw on your face. I even sparked interest in a write-in campaign for you (though you said later you weren't interested).

You didn't like the original pictures, but I apologized and tried to make it right. That's more than at least one ghoul you know wouldn't do for you.

You may hate me for looking out for your interests, but hey: if I employed you, you'd be getting $20 / hr not $2. And I would mention you and thank you for your work publicly. I would show up to my own events as well.

You must have some masochistic tendencies if you hate the helping hand but love the fist that sccourned and worked you (which, btw, look exactly like Brianna's man-hands.)

Personally, I guarantee you and I very much disagree on politics (though no, I didn't vote for Trump or Hillary), and we also probably disagree on the definition of "women's rights" (and no, my definition is not "pop out babies and make me a sammich and when you're done maybe go make 50% what a man does typing memos in a low-cut blouse"), but I live in one of the most (if not the most) "progressive" regions of the country, and have plenty of "Berniebro/Berniebroad" friends, and we get along pretty darn well. Letting politics overwhelm your personal relationships and interactions isn't healthy or productive.

I stand up for myself when I choose to, and I don't let a racist US Congressman cousin of mine F with me, or anybody else if I can help it.
But I will let someone boss me around and go the extra mile for them, and make great sacrifices if I believe in them.
I'm not going to let somebody boss me around BECAUSE they're a woman, but I'm also not going to NOT let them boss me around because of their gender either. My girlfriend is a lot smarter than me, and she can boss me around any time. Or a progressive politician whose cause I believe in. Nina Turner can boss me around. Ayanna Pressley probably. Sam Hammar. There are plenty of good ones in Massachusetts. Donna Patalano. Sabrina Heisey.
Not wanting to be bossed around by women because they're women even if they're smart is laaaaame and insecure.
If Brianna's not progressive and I believed in her then I'm naive. If what you're saying is that liberals and progressives are both naive, then maybe so. I would say we are naive about different things.
I would say progressives are mainly naive about a possible future where we could make life better for ordinary people. We dream things that are "impossible" and "pie in the sky". And some people think we are complete fools. Sometimes we may be. Other times we actually get those things, wonder of wonders.
Whereas liberals are mainly naive about things like:
-everything being 'fine' when it is only 'fine' for rich people
-that dirty no-manners assholes like me deserve any respect or consideration in life
-their own snobbiness
-their own racism
-thinking everybody has a fancy life like them

Warren, please note that several posters here (myself, @Kroster, others) do not misgender Brianna or call her by any other name. We still point out her lies and contradictions, and of course the awful ways she treats people. Understand that for most of us, we aren’t going after her for being trans. We are going after her for being a bad human being.

Even many who misgender her do it not out of transphobia but because they know it’s one thing that is guaranteed to bother her as she bumbles through life without facing consequences for her bad behavior.

well, well, well. I also had to catch up with the thread after weekend, as it blew up. I don't think Warren's friend is going to last long, because from what he describes the friend is a solid guy, and he is not likely to put up with BS.

About "misgendering" as being "rude". I don't agree with that. I wasn't told in my childhood by authority figures that calling a man in a dress a man is rude. I was told not to point fingers at disfigured or disabled, so it's unlikely that I would make fun of a tranny in public, but at the same time I was told not to lie. I would like to know what Council of Courtesy and Rules of Behavior has imposed this new rule on all of us? When did it happen exactly?
