I guess the simplest question I'd want an answer to is if Warren ever bothered to fact check Brianna. I mean, obviously he hasn't, which is why he's trying to deflect or just ignores facts and reiterates whatever Brianna said.
One of the big things which makes a cow is the fact they use the internet as their main form of communication. Lying to someone in person really isn't hard, especially the type of lies Brianna says. Like Warren himself said, he isn't a tech savvy person. And he was right about a lot of people in congress not being tech savvy. So, if you were a non tech savvy person and someone like Brianna come up to you in person, confidently introduce themselves as a software engineer or whatever Wu is claiming this day and can actually tell you the name of the company they own, you'll probably believe them at face value. Wu seems decent enough at filling his sentences with buzzwords anyone unfamiliar with tech will recognize as belonging to tech, but not actually know the meaning of.
But, when you try and pull that same stunt online, it instantly falls apart, because it takes all of 5 seconds to Google something. Not only that, but despite what a lot of people think, you can't just hit delete and have your lie wiped from the internet.
Here's the thing we're trying to convey, and the main thing Warren seems unable to wrap his head around. We aren't disputing that Wu has said these progressive things. We're disputing that Wu means them. Yeah, Wu has said she grew up poor in Mississippi or whatever. The fact Wu has said that is very much a provable true statement. What we are disputing is whether or not Wu means those things, because we have plenty of examples of Wu making other statements which disprove those. Asking basic tech questions, falling for an obvious phishing scam on multiple occasions etc. They contradict one another. It isn't hard to tell which is the real statement, because a tech genius wouldn't fall for an incredibly obvious phishing scam multiple times.
If I didn't know about this thread and someone came up to me talking about this guy in District 8 named Warren Lynch who is a huge supporter of Stephen Lynch, I'd believe the dude. But, then if I saw your FB page or your posts here or whatever else, I would obviously realize the first person was lying to me. You're incredibly naive, Warren. My advice, if you're serious about getting into politics, stop taking people at face value. You need to learn to fact check, especially if you're speaking with someone who is trying to go into politics themselves or is insisting they can help you with politics. If you're not tech savvy enough to do so, I'd change that as quickly as possible, at least to the point where you can confidently look into someone's past. I'm not saying blindly trust people posting on KF, or any other forum based website for that matter. As you've tried to say before, posts are largely opinion based. The problem is, there are posts which have actual facts and links to back them up, several of which were directly showing you something Brianna herself wrote in a completely unedited fashion.
That's why people bring up the trans issue, just to name one example. We're not making that up to insult Wu, we've found proof of Wu openly discussing it, and then subsequently lying about it for years. Wu is a chronic liar, that's what we're trying to get across to you. Yeah, you're hooked because Wu is saying all these things you want to hear, and you know what, some of them are probably true. That's one of the reasons being a chronic liar is so bad, because it gets to the point you can't trust someone enough to tell the truth from the lies. We're well into Wu who cried wolf territory right now, so even if Wu says something we might agree with, it's impossible to tell whether he means it, or whether he's saying it because he thinks it is the popular answer to give, or the one which will get him voters. And, hey, that's one of the differences between you and Wu, and one of the reasons you're even getting a few compliments. You seem like a pretty open and honest person, if you proposed a political platform I wouldn't find myself second guessing everything you've said, and if I wanted to double check whether you're speaking from the heart, there's a pretty long paper trail supporting what you say.
