I really like black bronze. It's not too ass to make.
It's pretty easy, especially considering you have a tiny bit of leeway to how much Silver, Gold, and Copper you want to use. Copper bits are easy to get, and you don't need much silver or gold. It's also objectively the coolest metal to make, I made that shit in Terrafirmacraft and I will always make that shit in VS.

Before there was a point to anything in the game my goal was to make the biggest stack of gold and silver ingots.
I think I had ~20/60 gold silver ingots at one point when I had way too much free time, but any proof of that is long gone.

I wish satiety and having a diverse diet gave more benefits other than extra health.

For ex. having full protein grants an extra 5% damage or 10% damage resistance

I have been unable to find salt after searching for hours and hours :(
Pretty sure they mostly spawn in deserts, or at least one of the better ways. So travel south and see if you can find some. Otherwise find Halite with a prospecting pick, there's bound to be a salt dome nearby.

You will find halite stone inside of around chalk stone very often, which you can grind into salt.

Also modding the game with anything more than a small handful of mods specifically meant to interact with each other can get messy quick. Crashed my single player game on startup like 30 times trying to get it to work and then when I did all of a sudden the game says I'm having graphical or memory issues I never have before? Very weird.

The arduous journey of finding ores is defnitely the weakest part of the game. Though it is certainly realistic in its frustration.
Salt beds from lakes can only be found in deserts. You can find alum under this too.
You if you want halite you simply must find a rich area by prospecting, then, at any point in the igneous layer, strip mine the entire chunk and all 8 neighbors 9 blocks spaced apart. Then just hope one spawned there.

Or go caving in the igneous layer in a propecting rich area and hope you get lucky.

Also modding is not as unstable as you think. I have never had those issues, you might just have one really bad mod that screws with everything elsd.

I've been looking for the game's updated ost to no luck.
I know a lot of the tracks are on Youtube and other places, but there have been new tracks I haven't seen anywhere yet.

Thinking of buying this, reminds me of survivalcraft which I used to play a lot as a kid before my parents let me buy minecraft
It's certainly a tanzanite gem, but do note that a lot of things are very time consuming and dangerously autistic - a lot of people get "filtered" when it comes to things like prospecting.

You can eat every mushroom in VS directly unlike MC.

Don't worry about death caps, the devs only made it an instantkill for NPCs which you can feed.

If you don't like prospecting or get filtered by anything there, you can just easily install a mod that makes it easier.

I found out the prospecting wasn't explained well. It's actually a great and useful system but the handbook entry is trash on it imo.
