What's [jerma's] disability?

I didn't even know Jerma was older than Vinny, then again I don't watch his stuff.

Why do SJW attach to him? purely just because he said "Twans rights"?
In addition to the hbombergay shit, he also awkwardly reads donations/bits/whatever from "your fwendly neighborhood twans girl uwu" (actual quote) from time to time, though I've only ever heard him do it once and you could practically hear him sweating and choosing his words incredibly carefully.

Give em an inch and they take a mile and all that.

I fucking died when this happened during the Meme House finale.

For what it's worth, Jeremy's stated maybe a week or two ago that he was stopping those entirely as a consequence of him changing his schedule for his health's sake. Not that damage hasn't already been done, but hopefully it keeps that shit at bay more.

Yeah, definitely one of the few good changes from this development. I'm so happy Joel and (I assume still) Vinny don't do this to begin with, it's always been kind of weird. And 9/10 it's exactly the same message anyway, "Wow I was literally about to kill myself and my entire family died in a plane crash and I have cancer etc. etc. etc. but your stream saved my life" while Jerma fumbles to say something that isn't just "thanks for watching".

This is why I like that Vin does emails even if it takes a while for a response.
I sent him one thanking him and got something that wasn't just a cookie cutter response.

My absolute favorite thing about Vinny that sets him apart from all other streamers is that he doesn't read bits or donations or subscriptions on stream, no matter how much money he gets, therefore Jerma choosing to not do that anymore is a very good development to me. Donations are meant to be a way of supporting the creator, not to whore for attention.

God forbid Vinny would say "thanks transrights420_uwu for the $10" every 5 minutes on stream.

Thats honestly what allows me to watch Vinesauce despite it's shitty fanbase

Related: /v/ is a blacklisted phrase on the automod in Joel's channel. Some person was asking about the history of Vinesauce offline chat (in offline chat) and I tried bringing up the fact Vinesauce has origins in /v/, which is why Vinny also most likely had his offline chat in lockdown with the whole "shit is hard to regulate" thing.
Man fuck cancel culture, these millenials and young zoomers need to realize that the modern net was molded by 4chan and that's ok.

I don't give to streamers/events but I would drop a grand on the charity stream each year if the incentive was to keep it this way.

I look foward to the art segments even when they suck because I can feel how much healthier the community is for getting attention for creativity vs donos. Not that I have a problem with getting paid, please do get your cash everybody.

You're right about the latter, but I'm pretty sure the reason Joel has /v/ blacklisted is because he's moved past that time of his life, not because his fans bullied him into doing so. If Joel wanted to stand his ground and shout it from the rooftops that he got his start on /v/, he could do so with ease. Joel's fanbase is a lot closer to the composition of the original Vinesauce fanbase than Vinny's is, so the fact that he's chosen to push past the /v/ stuff instead speaks volumes. He still talks about 4chan in general too, though much more rarely now than he used to, so it's not like he's pretending he's never used it either.

I just want him to say faggot again, once the internet is free from modern puritans he can be himself again

Maybe it's also done to prevent links to Vinesauce threads from appearing in chat, since sensitive information might get leaked there (like Vinny's old address a few pages before). Though in this case it'd make more sense to add 4chan(nel).org to spamlist, if it isn't done already.

Joel still talks about /a/ here and there when he's in a JoJo/Hokuto No Ken mood, so he's definitely not trying to make it seem as if he's never been on 4chan. It makes sense he'd have /v/ blacklisted considering how easily underage spergs in chat could be radicalized if someone changed their mind on Joel which would eventually lead to "Joel did bad thing I read it on /v/!!! ". The amount of people in /v/ threads who make up shit about Joel just because he didn't reply to their email is insane.

TBH, reading that just kinda made me feel bad for the kid. The only thing he did that was objectively shitty was him pocketing charity stream money to buy a new PC. He did give that money back, tho. But other than that.

He lied about his age (said he was 18, although he was 14/15). He met this girl in chat and started an online relationship with her, but they never met. She sent pictures, but he never did, because he was supposedly fat or ugly or something. Then she shows up at his house and he's too embarrassed to meet her, so he gets his gramma to lie to that girl and tell her he's not home. Then she finds a picture of him online and gets pissed, so she airs her grievances with him publicly. Eventually, he gets the boot from vinesauce.

He sounds like a dumb kid doing really dumb kid things on the internet. I was also a dumb young adult on the internet once, so I can kinda relate. Thankfully, I never acquired internet fame lol.

Anyway, it's probably for the best he got booted. Hopefully, he learned something.

Didn't GPM get kicked off for a similar issue? I don't remember the full story but it had something to do with GPM complaining that he wasn't getting enough money for food and rent but he was using donation money to buy arcade cabinets and other vidya junk. It was a shitty move, but I never understood why GPM never got a second chance until now. I'm assuming the Vinesauce crew didn't want another Tame situation, plus GPM had been a streamer for 7 years at the time so he should have known better. I guess Vinesauce has a big no-nonsense policy when it comes to financial issues.

If I remember correctly, GPM was banned off the Vinesauce team for a year. I guess he never returned due to guilt.

Any one who believes or takes seriously anything said on /v/ in the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand and Twenty needs to be put in a home for their own safety, with a nice soft room and no electrical outlets.

Yeah, you're right about GPM. If I remember correctly, it was GPM himself who decided not to return. My memory is shitty, though, so maybe I'm wrong.

Also, one big difference between GPM and tame was that GPM was an adult man who fucked up and tame was a literal kid (although, to be fair, he did lie about his age). In the end, I feel more sorry for tame. But I still feel sorry for both of them. Even though GPM was an adult, he was still very young. We all do dumb shit when we're young.

I probably would have fucked up too if I had been in their position when I was as young as them.
