Joel planning to return to Monster Hunter 1? I don't follow him regularly besides Meme House, so no clue if he ever brought it up again after the first stream.
 
He's planning to return to Monster Hunter 1 the same way he's planning to return to all the other games he'd love to play more of and then just kind of forgot about.

Edit: wow, we're at a 100 pages now!
 
Joel played me like a goddamn fiddle with his latest Meme House stream. Not only he shattered my hope of uncovering the mystery of Forgotten Grotto this early, he also made me hungry with all these food processor infomercials.

Honestly Joel's FAT AND BALD RALPH in the latest Sims stream felt a bit too real at times.

he may not be OUR GUY but at least he is holding off the best he can to avoid embarrassing himself unduly.

Owlcity posted a picture of the new earthworm jim comic and thier comments were worse than the trans rights spam that vinesauce gets raided with, just begging for them to make a blm post as if it were their duty as musicians to do so, their bio literally says " 🌌 Idealism 🌅 Escapism 🌄 Surrealism 🏞 "

I wish he hadn't said anything at all. I mean, whatever he says, it's not going to change the situation. Besides, it's nice to have some things that you can use to escape all of the crap going on in the world right now (for example, his streams). It sucks that he thought he had to say something. But I appreciate he didn't virtue signal by saying black lives matter or telling people to bail out violent protesters.

When it comes to political affiliation, I think Vinny's a true centrist. I'm pretty sure he said so during a reddit AMA. But that was the only time he ever clearly said anything about political views.

"The Wrong Side of History" by Red Vox makes me believe that he's not "our guy", but he also isn't "their guy".

I like Doug and Earthworm Jim (grew up with it), even though Doug probably thinks I'm part of the "rainbow mafia".

doug is a true boomer, and it almost warms my heart to see him chugging along, I feel for him standing his ground as an old schooler who doesn't give an inch to the tide, but he is dumb as shit for talking about it openly, most of his stuff seems to be for kids or the librarys and he hurt his career being so vocal. (seriously imagine the ewj cash if it got a full blast liberal media establishment nostalgia boner shoved up it's press kit)
 
For what it's worth, Vinny's been signing off with general messages about staying safe in these shitty times since all the corona stuff has been happening too so I don't think it's strange that he's also doing it while people's neighbourhoods are being smashed and burned down.
 
You can only keep quiet for so long when people are destroying your state after being ravaged by a pandemic.

People like to hope that Vinny is "their guy" or willing to represent their side, but in reality he's on neither. And yet there are going to be folks who give you trouble for that.
He mentioned during What The Golf that he was having a bit of a time trying to keep a sense of normalcy while playing vidya, considering all that's going on.
So I sort of expected him to say something sooner than later. I don't he'll say anything more unless this stuff starts getting real close to home.

There are certainly a few idiots in the community that would advocate for shit to burn down, and as expected, when it finally affects their personal lives and family they change their tune.

Vinny is also a grown ass man while most of the fanbase is either teens or autistic furry trannies in their early twenties. Of course they don't tolerate or understand mature decisions.
 
Vinny worked at a fucking New York bank for a while. A NEW YORK bank. He saw someone doing crack in a bathroom. If that doesn't toughen you up and make you a reasonable human being who also doesn't get involved in a bunch of autistic internet bullshit, I don't know what will.
 
If Vinny's smart, he'll stay far, FAR the fuck away from streaming more Cloudpunk anytime soon. With how much Current Year bullshit that game's rancid dialogue spews out it really will be the chat killer that they collectively joked about every other time he streamed it.

I hate it when fans assume that their favorite person of interest follows the exact same beliefs as they do. It creates a false reality that's quickly shattered the moment that person states their opinion on a touchy subject. Just look at what happened to iDubbbz's fanbase a few months ago, if anyone remembers that.

Honestly it's been somewhat fun to watch Cloudpunk simply for that reason - the dialogue is so poorly written and the commentary so on the nose that I personally find it amusing. It's clear the writers wanted to say something deep and woke but it just comes across as something written by a high school student in creative writing class.

Cool premise, nice aesthetics, and some fun characters (RIP Huxley) but overall it definitely feels like it could have been much better with a better writer and more competent voice acting.

Yes, but as was discussed in an above post, the poor guy can't even talk about mundane things anymore without the mood turning dire (all he mentioned was something about Target in passing that was unrelated to the riots for reference). So playing a game that unabashedly brings up shit like that right now, no matter how sloppy and amateurish it goes about in saying it, is just asking for trouble.
