It's all part of the cult of personality, and Vinny is 110% aware of it and afraid, he has stated several times and hinted at this he knows theres a cult forming right beneath his feet and he's not sure what to do with it, i pity him since it is now his livelyhood and stomping out the cult would mean cutting off a lot of the reveneu and future growth, specially now that he's the charity flagship.​
He could shake the parasites trying to steer him off by declaring himself the second comming of hittler and saying "niggers" every 5 minutes but unfortunally that would only invite the other equally autistic side of the politics spectrum, and if he lets the parasites from either side take over fully it just wont be his show anymore, they would demand more and more propaganda be spewed by him at every second, on these times neutrality is a crime and silence is admission of guilt and if they feel you've wronged them they won't stop until they have ruined your life.​
I'd imagine his last option is just to hope the old guard holds the line, but its very evidently cracked and compromised.​
 
Vinny slips up on his politics every once in a while, but most people in chat don't actually seem to notice. IIRC Joel was pretty upfront at one point about being a fan of Trump, but that's not 100%. My memory sucks.

I feel like we can talk to him here since Vinny and Jerma talk about each other. Jerma has gone way out his way to not show his political identity.
During the Seaman stream he turned off the game audio and his mic when it asked anything related to politics or hot topics.

The time I remember Joel mentioning Trump is is utter bafflement at Trump being an actual candidate and not a meme after someone made a Trump joke in Vietnamese Crystal art. Art's at 3:03:00 if it doesn't take you straight there, his response to chat telling him that Trump was leading follows. Some pre-TDS roasting of Trump but I don't think Joel gives a shit about American politics beyond the absurdity of it all.

He also said he thought Trump would win at some point, can't remember when. I think Joel has correctly departed from political discussion like anyone else with a brain has at this point.

It helps immensely that he lives in a country completely irrelevant except for funny posts on /pol/.

Basically Joel's opinion was "who the fuck cares, no party can win because presidents are puppets". He also said he doesn't give a shit that Trump is president now. I remember it vividly because chat sperging out was glorious.
 
Joel have just confirmed another Windows destruction right now. Right after they became more stale and unoriginal. Though if it's going to be something like Gold Windows XP 2016, maybe something good will come out.

He also ranted about Crazy Frog getting circumcised, and recommended metamphetamine for weight loss.

The last (and only) time I saw him mention Trump was when he was playing Dwarf Fortress all he said that he posted this pic.
