Yeah, the stealth is real shit as well. But you eventually just give up turning into a 9 foot tall walking blender because towards the end of the game the rooms (you move from room to room with no continuity between them) start filling with like four mechs at a time and it's just actively un fun to play. Game was terrible, felt like a PS2 movie tie in game.
Should have just made the protag a Glass Walker and have him fight in Glabro with a bunch of Gifts or summoning for when he needs to lay some real "fuck you" on people. Nothing quite like calling up a spirit of electricity from a power transformer to clear a room full of combat mechs for you.

Watch Dogs, but with werewolves.

They have a lot of visual novels these days, are those any good? And by good I mean, can I choose not to be an asshole?

from what I remember reading they're aren't too bad, apparently 1 is good, 1 is "ok". think it was mentioned over in the TTRPG thread.
haven't read them myself, so don't take my word for it.

Fucking LOL.

Beyond dead at this point. Thank fuck, they looked like they were going to absolutely ruin it.
Maybe one day we get a team of based BROgrammers and CHUDthors that write a redpilled VtM rpg where among other things you assist a group of vampires in purging a number of homosexuals who are diseased with STDs.

Did we ever figure out whose self-insert the Tremere chick was? Seemed like she was really being pushed.

Isn't that part of the plaguebearer quest in Bloodlines? Jezebel Locke fucked everything with a pulse with the goal of spreading as much disease as possible.

Reminds me how the first game had a pretty brutal take on L.A. and Californication. Cool places were really just old husks of themselves (Santa Monica), the rich in lavish towers looking down on streets full of homeless and burning garbage (L.A. midtown), Hollywood was a astroturf wasteland with a creepy hypersexual undertone, and ethnic enclaves were crime-ridden slums ruled by powerful local despots who suppressed reform in the name of cultural tradition (Chinatown). It was so well-done and subtle that you didn't even question the bleakness. I doubt the new game would have anything interesting to say about the Pacific northwest, or worse, go the opposite way and rationalize the problems as a benefit. If you wanted a similar thing with Seattle, you'd have to come dangerously close to right wing talking points: tolerance of crime makes it harder for honest people to make a living, glorification of shallow personal expression stifling deeper spiritual individualism, disconnection between sex and relationships causing loneliness even as people engage in increasing debauchery, compassion becoming a crutch to enable cowardice instead of confronting problems, and belief in a permanent revolutionary movement acting as a antagonistic force to actual changes. Given how the good vampires (excuse me, the brujah) are a bunch of tatted up antifa throwing molotovs and the reeeing about Orange man, it's unlikely.

Imagine being so bad at game development that you forced your Swedish overlords to purge you.
better than releasing a shitty game because your polack overlords can't do shit, at least your non-existant rep is safe.

imagine, just imagine the wonders of jurassic world fucking up a game so badly that the extremely jank first version is used to bash the fuck out of you... it's even more humiliating than doing a icarus flight like CDPR did.

CDPR at least has a bunch of money from Witcher 3, as well as a storefront. This game was pretty much Hardsuit Lab's big break after Zombie Studios shut down and they had to rebrand, and they fucked up so badly the entire narrative team and a bunch of other employees were sacked.

zombie studios divided because of the perfectworld/blacklight drama, during zombie days they made dying light 1 which is kind of a good game, also i have no idea how many people divided but if you see the riters they were based on wokeism, a thing that could not be applied to blacklight nor it was useful for dying light.

Techland made Dying Light 1, not Zombie Studios.

One thing that's funny about the game's take in LA is Grauman's Chinese theater is closed and abandoned, implying Hollywood must not be doing too well if even their main movie theater can't stay open.
