It's not the unlocking clans part that's hard, it's what will replace that premium edition "content". Since, you know, they have to come up with something they think people will consider worthwhile and have to plan how to deliver it at the last moment. Because it's obvious that Paradox wasn't willing to throw any additional money into it, and no additional DLC was planned. That's why they've been silent, only now saying they have an announcement on the 17th. They definitely don't want to have to cancel the premium edition.
Simple, they're figuring out what base content already in the game they can rip out and then gatekeep behind the DLC.

Only because they either can't afford Denuvo, know that without piracy's word of mouth marketing their game is doomed to fail harder than it inevitably will, or both.
It seems to be woke trash with bad gameplay, and totally screwing the whole Masquerade universe, not even worth pirating.

Denuvo is really just for losers, if your game is good and free of woke trash it will most likely sale. I certainly would never spend full price money on a game that has Denuvo.

I wish they'd cancel the game as a whole.
i gotta be honest CJ, i hope it fucking fails, hard.
that way the publishers will either shelve the IP, giving the rest it deserves or look for competent people, white hyperborea all over again once the feminists, jeets and slants get fucking kicked to the curb of game development to be replaced by competent people, ie: white men.

I just worry about my blood pressure when I get to see what they've shat out.

Bloodlines 1 is probably my favorite game of all time, I'd rather avoid the heartache of witnessing what the subhuman commie faggots that make up the modern gaming industry have done to it.

EDIT: corrected my spelling - fucking phone keyboard

of course no one can crack it.
there isn't a single modern game with that piece of shit worth cracking, that's how piracy works, buddy.
Your new is showing, scene tourist. Scene was about one-upping each other with how skilled a group/person was, cracked game's quality was secondary. Back when there had been 3 groups/individuals cracking denuvo, all manned of trash had been cracked. Nowadays stuff like Black Myth Wukong, a game that is exceptional for industry standards and customer expectation, remains uncracked.
Like I said - all complaints about games not being worth being cracked is a cope both from people wishing they could have pirated it, and scene groups that can't.

It's because they put it on GOG, 6 years ago (March 2019), and GOG doesn't allow DRM. So even when it wasn't the devs of Amnesia a Machine for Pigs they were still willing to forgo denuvo.
They definitely wouldn't waste the money and what little good will they have to redditors to buy it now though.

I'm going to laugh my ass off about how toke deaf AND current day bullshit they shat out. There Is no point in getting angry. Vampire 1 died with troika and it should be that way

I think there was a game that got announced on GOG, and then backed out just to include denuvo, might have been the 2014 Lords of the Fallen, so there's a precedence for that. There were also games like Yakuza: Like A Dragon, which simultaneously had versions on Steam with denuvo, and on GOG without it.

Not that simple, because the game doesn't seem to be that big. I read somewhere their playtime estimates were around 25 hours. For a narrative driven "RPG" it's not that many, and cutting something out as DLC will probably hurt it. Still, that's probably the easiest way for them to do it, so that's probable.

Considering its only a few weeks till release, it's more likely trying to pull something from a future planned paid DLC or hastily thrown together scrapped content to add it to the stupid premium bundle thing to replace the clans being in it.

If they had named the game everything but bloodlines i feel it wouldnt get as shit on as it is. Hell it should have been its own thing and people wouldnt have gave two shits(except for the whole dlc clans stuff)

I made a similar point earlier in the thread. The catch-22 Paradox finds themselves in is that if they call it anything but, it gets relegated to the shovelware pile shared by the other half dozen dead on arrival VtM games that no one can remember the names of, but they're in too deep financially so they're left with no other option than to call it Bloodlines.

Denuvo costs about 80k a month to implement per game and Paradox probably realized that the game is ass and won't sell enough to even bother with DRM.

modern corporations have no faith in their creatives(with good reason). They won't greenlight anything that doesnt have an established brand presence

they couldn't course correct during fagsuitlabs as they haven't done much when it was on their hands, they sure as shit won't course correct now but i agree, getting angry about this trainwreck is just pointless as the new devs have shown to be out of touch and retarded enough to not get how the world works.

if it's by paradox then you'd best bet they will pay shills to shit up trannychan to get the game as off "good", if they release it on gaystation first even better but they are probably aware this piece of flaming shit will doom the name of the franchise for the PC crowd and it will take some good investment in the future for a iteration that fixes it, if i was a paradox suit i would just get on marketing to make it sound like it's some extra tale shit unrelated to what people know of VtM:B with the clans dlcs, good guess it won't play it like that.

I mean, it would still have been dunked on based on the looks of the protagonist alone, and would likely have drawn a comparison to Bloodlines 1, but as you say, the backlash wouldn't have been nearly as bad.

They only have themselves to blame though, since they're the ones that keep hiring the morons.

Just look at BioWare - EA allowed the cretins to tank Mass Effect (which many were saying had the potential to be the next Star Wars/Star Trek) and Dragon Age (that could have rivaled Baldur's Gate in popularity) through a combination of arrogance, ineptitude and political spregging.

It's not like BioWere were shy about what they were up to.

In fact, they were extremely vocal when telling actual paying customers to fuck off so they could pander to the nonexistent female and faggot demographic, and then proceeding to alienate those as well by tripling down on the troon pandering. Veilguard was a game that I don't think appealed to anyone, it was seemingly created to be as revolting as possible to as many demographics as possible.

At no point, over the span of decades now, did EA ever decide to send an adult over to BioWare to tell them to shut the fuck up, do their jobs and pander to the straight male demographic.

Paradox should have done their due diligence and kept a tight leash on HSB. I am still not sure how they allowed the situation to get so bad. Surely they made it a requirement for the developer to keep milestones and report what they were working on?

I ask because from what I have gathered, by the time Paradox had decided to look into the project, they found out that years had passed and the devs had basically accomplished next to nothing, the project languishing as they kept doing whatever it is that liberals do instead of being useful.

Ultimately, developers are proof why they need a boot pressing down on their neck constantly. Without a Kotick to brutalize them like they're in a Soviet gulag they either faff about wasting time and money, or try to educate everyone on true communism while cashing in the fat check the corporate overlords send their way every month.

Problem nowadays is that the publisher themselves are infiltrated by the same kind of morons, so game devs and publishers just enable each other's retardation.
