Mark my words, this game will have the best VA and facial animations of all time. Tommy Wiseau, eat your heart out.

I think it looks cool. Its probably a shallow experience, but if it lets me be a "good" vampire. Then ok.

The Pre order that is literally just trophies for your hideout is not filling me with confidence though. The clan stuff is also crap but that's nothing new, they amazingly do that for their choose your own adventure books too. I have no expectations, just give me a power fantasy where I can beat the shit out of everyone evil and call it a day.
In the land of no fun, you've got a sensible house.

You owe it to the genderqueers that were responsible for fagging up bloodlines to kill every single self insert, every POC, and every girlboss with extreme prejudice.

I'm still hoping for the best outcome and that its lukewarm mediocre slop that's forgotten as soon as the next Bing Bing wahoo comes out.
It'll be forgotten long before then fren.

Alas, I am not a game writer. I have the wrong skin color and political affiliations.
Dont forget, you also dont scarf down gock and ask for seconds you damn dirty cis-het male. Your career as a Modern Gayme Dev was over before it even started.

Watering down the ugliness of the Nosferatu and the scariness of Malkavians sucks. The Nosferatu curse gives lots of interesting aesthetic options for different ways they could look inhuman
Honestly, they could've saved so much money on nosferatu character design and implementation. All they had to do was mocap literally anyone from the dev team on any day of the week.

Every single recent VtM game are either not games or games that are just reskinned. Like you got text based games and virtual novels on one hand then you got a battle royale and something like a telltale game in the next. To be honest they aren't games it feels like they're just nongames. However Bloodlines 2 feels like they're trying to apply this nongaminess to a actual game.

What do I mean is there's little customization in recent VtM games save for the Battle Royale games. You're playing as a pre established character or a character with little customization as possible. Honestly them going woke is the icing on the cake, it's just that I really don't think they'll be able to do a actual game.

The other games feel like not games mainly because they are made by any indie dev with the drive to make one. Essentially, what happened is that paradox has a very open licensing platform that allows them to use the property so any Joe schmo can actually get their hands on this IP to do what they want with it.

As for the Nosferatu, I actually don't think their appearances in the game look that off. Appearance zero does not mean they have to look completely like inhuman monsters. It means that if they actually nail the "oh I don't want to look at you because you're that hideous" That's about right. Looking like a burn victim is a viable method for what a Nosferatu might look like when embraced.

The Malkavians are getting treated the way they are because the derangement holding devs and online specimens who tard on about mental health don't like to think about how their condition isn't fun. Well that and too many see insane character and just make a fish malk anyway.

They absolutely do look inhuman and ugly by default. Nosferatu Revised has a five point physical merit called "Rugged Bad Looks" that just makes you look like a mutilated or exceptionally ugly human and gives you the benefit of being able to run around top-side without it being an automatic masquerade violation. It's not impossible but it's by no means the default.

The worst part about the voice in your head is the way they pronounce his name, they make Fabien sound like the name of a gay street hooker, feybian, this is something I'd do as an insult.
We can expect more every week starting yesterday by the way, I hope you guys are ready. And no, Im not joining your discord server for the latest trailer roadmap.

iirc its because paradox didnt want people getting too crazy with the world of darkness ip, more specifically with masquerade, until this game in particular released. its why they announced it so early and had it planned to release years ago but it didnt work out and the closest you get to an action game is earthblood which was kinda mid.

Oh wonderful. I listened to the male version of the fire and he sounds like a Slavic Muslim. Joy.

I think we're just arguing on degree with this one since we both agree they look ugly to the point people don't want to look at them. I think I'm just kinda giving it a pass because by comparison to the other stuff in this DOA game it's like sort of nothing. The first guy should have more granulated burned ass skin on his face now that I'm giving a more serious look at this thing, and the other guy does look shit but that's due to lacking further tumors to uneven out the face in worse way, but eh, it's not as big an issue as say paywalling a key Cammie group. Or another one if you're a dumb enough motherfucker to play V5.

Although to be fair I can and have missed more than one thing from revised, since I tend to play and use V20 over it and haven't read every single splat out there.

Speaking of alternate takes, fun fact: Nos in Requiem don't have to be physically ugly; but the way they move, act, speak, or just feel are so alien and revolting that it doesn't matter. Like we're talking you see their skin wriggle a bit from phantom bugs, their faces distend under certain lighting in ways that make you scream, and sometimes they scuttle move like bugs.

I confess I'm not familiar with the series beyond knowing that...I think Tara Strong and Grey Deslile were in the one game? This is the first time its available for consoles other than PC?
