This kind of stuff demonstrates why Pride is a Sin. At no point will anyone involved say: "We screwed up too badly. We need to scrap everything and start over", and proceed to do so because they can't stand the idea of having made an error.

They already did that with hsl vs tcr.

I think it's safe to say that paradox doesn't know how to do anything that's outside of their wheelhouse, up to and including not leasing their IPs out to walking simulator developers and mentally ill communists. (BUT I REPEAT MYSELF!)

i really want this to be good because I really want more vampire games, there's a shocking lack of them, but from everything I've seen, this is really really not going to be good.

While I find most of the inspirations for the Nu-Assamites to be cringe, didn't this one Canadian show kinda rip-off the original Vampire the Masquerade?
More like Vampire the Masquerade ripped off the Canadian show, or at least the 1989 pilot of the show ( "I am what I am, and I don't think Betty Ford takes vampires").

I'm sure there's a line somewhere between 'loving tribute' and 'ripping off.'

You talking about the 89 movie Nick Knight that later spawned the tv series Forever Knight? I'm pretty sure I got the series in a boxed set from a local library selling off their inventory pennies by the pound.

I saw a video, I really hope the game is not first person only. Cyberpunk 2077 is first person only and that sounded like insanity is I never played cyberpunk. I want to be able to see my character and first person only does not offer that. Skyrim has first person and third person, the first Vampire masquerade bloodlines have first person and third person views. Baldurs gate 3 don’t actually have first person and you can’t zoom in as much as I would want either so actually baldurs gate 3 could have made the camera better actually. I need to visually see. Also they should add rpg elements. Hopefully some more character customizations should be added. Also I hated the fallout 4 speech wheels. It lies. You pick something to say and your character says something completely different. Usually directly related but not always. You should say exactly what you say. Why make the player guess by giving speech options that are actually lies. On fallout 4 I picked one speech option and my character said something that could be interrupted in a completely different way because my character didn’t say the speech option exactly but instead simply changed it, thus lying to the player.

Same I hate the speech wheels so much. They add nothing and make dialog more annoying to go through. I've had the same issues with it as you have. It's a shame that the devs think that the player base of these types of games are so stupid that they can't read more then four words in a row.

>e-girl baddie main character
So the dev unironically bought into "big booba, based marketing!!" of Stellar blade?

Anyway: What'll release first: Vampire 2 or Beyond Good and Evil?
