Colour me surprised, i didn't expect Banu Haqim as a playable clan. Never liked the concept, a clan of pseudo muslim assassins with a focus on diablerie is ehhhh and screams of Mary Sue characters. Almost as bad as Followers of Set from a pure idea standpoint. I'd take playable Ravnos over this. The V5 stench is becoming more cloying.

"The Banu Haqim, sometimes known (ignorantly or disparagingly) as Assamites" according to the wiki, with no explanation of why it would be ignorant or disparaging to call the clan by its original name.

Yeah that new VR game has them as the playable clan yucking it up at the Vatican. I still haven't tried it yet sadly.

Wow, another nothingburger reveal. We now have two Celerity clans (Brujah and Assamites) and two Blood Magic clans (Tremere and Assamites as of V5).

V5: Where every clan is pretty much every other clan.

It's not new; it's just obnoxious virtue-signaling.

The Assamites have been the 'Children of Haqim' since 2nd edition. 'Banu Haqim' is what the Ashirra (Muslim vampire sect) called them. Since Euros are obliged by law to suck haji dick, they unilaterly declared 'Assamite' to be 'insulting' to the assassin/serial killer/jihadi vampires, even though many 'Assamites' are not Muslim and the new Eldest of the clan (Ur-Shulgi) has serial killed several of oldest Muslim Assamites for improperly following the Path of Blood (kill other vampires whenever possible and worship Haqim).

It might just be given how I know that a decent amount of the crop of idiots who play at being called "creatives" use shit like ChatGPT to write their story outlines for them .

Speaking of AI generation, I decided to as a shitpost and to highlight how crap the current designs are, make a few generative pieces for vamps using Bing Create:

It's fucking telling that coding which can only dissect, dissassemble, analyze, and reassemble and synthesize from prior sources makes better art designs than the people at Chinese Room do themselves. It is a testament to their creative failures that a machine outdoes them.

I also really like the second one, since the AI itself chose to add what type of portrait she was looking at, since I never clarified what it was. The AI's choice for that one actually made it look sadder and self-reflecting on what life was like before the Embrace for that Toreador. Is she remembering the painter, what passion truly was like, better times? All of the above?

Actual more creativity from a goddamn string of code than the people on staff for this turd. Same for the v5 writers tbh.
