The big reason thinbloods were worse than ghouls in older editions was they needed to use double the blood to do anything, which was kind of bullshit given they also could only access 8 or 6 boxes of their blood pool usually. I perfectly understand why they wanted to reformat them since that is genuinely BS.

I just think Thinblood Alchemy was fucking retarded and they tried to buff them too much.
Yeah how the hell are they supposed to know alchemy? Especially if they keep getting killed left and right. I always imagined them as a
Gadget and equipment users that use guile and preparation to make escapes and assassinations.

If you cant take a vamp head on, but can find where they sleep and burn em with daylight you've got a lot more options for infiltration and knowledge gathering

whats up with these faggots shitting on troika.

It's more of a pre-emptive defense. Let's for a moment consider them as workers and developers:

They're given the task to build a sequel to a game that has a fanatical following after the previous developers shat the bed massively and managed to drive away everyone connected with the previous game, and their resume (if someone even kept working at the Chinese Room) is walking simulators. Ah, everyone (Paradox included) expects them only to fail, every new post you make has only comments from people that want you to fail and salivating at the chance of ripping you apart.

Trying to meekly say "don't expect too much it's a simpler action game" "c'mon guys Bloodlines is from 2004 it's 20 years ago guys" almost feels quaint and defensive. I mean, how would you feel if your management gave you a suicide mission?

Management assigning suicide missions is the societal norm anyway

Little foggy in my memory but by the time BL1 released which was late 04 didn't White Wolf already publish the final nights at least for vampires?

if that were the case they should start shitting on choice of games asap. that vn was dope as hell

Isn't the tabletop game (which originates all this franchise) have Vampire Hunters as classes or races?

Hunter: The Reckoning?

WoD has a shitton of books and game lines (from werewolves to vampires to hunters to mages to fey) divided amongst several editions, several publishers and several decades. Bloodlines 1 is based on the Old World of Darkness (90ies lore) and the sequel is based on.... whatever the new editions are, I can't follow the retcons.

Personally, from their interviews and media management, I think they just want the pain to end, Paradox wants the pain to end (they swore off RPG development forever after this) and close this as the mediocrity or failure it will be. I don't think there's a single human being at the Chinese Room that wants to be working on this.

Not initially. There were rules and ideas statted for them later on in places like Hunters: Hunted, and there's other splats hidden in the different books that added a bit from time to time for variety, but it wasn't until they made Hunter: the Reckoning it got codified.

TBH, the New World handled Hunters better and I find them more flexible.

Here's the fucked up thing: Chinese Room was being reshuffled into an action game dev studio after the modders got booted, which was around the time that they were given the game.

It's telling none of those guys at the time of being handed the project are still in the company. Usually they'd be on until it was out.

Development for Bloodlines 2 is completed. Now there main focus is working on bug fixes, stability and performance. The game is scheduled to be released in October 2025.

yeah send it to day on the release windows for g t a fucking 6. what could go wrong
At this point I feel they’re looking for an excuse for when the game bombs, so that way can brush off the blame for the game bombing almost as hard as Concord.

In which case, releasing this turd anywhere near GTA6 is one helluva cover…

Nah, not a chance it bombs that hard. That said they expect it to flop regardless so the release window coinciding with another major game isn't particularly relevant and October is actually probably a better timeframe for marketing anyway due to "oooh, spooky vampires because halloween!"
