Anarchs being an enemy faction is retarded too. The sabbat would be the only sect that remotely makes sense as auto enemies. I really wish they had the balls to make a video game where you can actually play sabbat though, easily the best mod for the original game
Eh I'm cool with fighting the vampire commie hippies. Seems pretty based. They're the "good guys" that make everything worse and keep turning people.

I have no interest in the second Inquisition in general, since it was written as essentially normal people kinkshaming the leeches for being leeches and killed the politicking dynamics that has people give a shit. I also have no interest in them clearly repurposing the first game's quest where you had to do something similar to this one, including ensuring the bad guy is religious since they are looting the corpse to decorate their own.

Also a vamp hunter with tech would likely not want to ever engage a vamp in close range unless forced to. They chose to recycle what are likely other enemies and just gave them fire because fuck that.
I'm more traditional I guess. Always love the idea of vampire hunters and their crusade against the forces of darkness. Hope they allow you the option to join up with them or leave them alone.

Their armor or religious icons would have to be really good to even last 5 seconds at close range. If these guys look like bargain bin swat then yeah no.

Lol ok they all look like hunk and their leader is....

I always figured if you wanted a boogie man antagonist that any kindred older than you pretends doesn't exist you go Baali the pseudo clan that's like a turd you just can't flush.

I do find it hilarious that they made doc brown catholic. First time I've seen a DEI character do that.

They should have just adapted the Crusader Kings formula and applied it to the World of Darkness.
Arguably, handing the project to a competent team, instead of a bunch of inept, woke literal-whos and a has-been cuck would have cost them far less.

At least we have modders that are turning your idea into reality.

They did at first. Hardsuit Labs did not seem incompetent if you were in the industry at the time due to their prior works; it was unexpected that they'd crumble on leading a game project like this.

The other options though are their goddamn fault. Well, theirs and Sumo, who chose to put Chinese Room into it.

I’ll just wait until this game is under $20 and tons of mods to fix all the troons and ugly women.

Paradox killed everybody's interest in this game when they went quiet after dropping Hardsuit Labs and everyone assumed the game was cancelled. When they announced the new developer being The Chinese Room, nobody was enthusiastic about it as they were when the first trailer was revealed by HSL. For all of its faults HSL's version at least it was developed by people that wanted to make a game that was going to be a Bloodlines sequel.

The failure of Bloodlines 2 falls on HSL and TCR but most of all Paradox. They had Brian Mitsoda and Chris Avellone who was behind Planescape: Torment which is considered one of the greatest if not the greatest RPG ever written and Fallout: New Vegas.

Over the years Brian Mitsoda got soft by saying he didn't want to portray hookers and mental illness in a negative light as if there was anything positive about hookers and crazy but he at least understood the lore better than those at The Chinese Room. Chris Avellone found out after he left they didn't use any of his writing whether that was a decision by HSL or Paradox only a former developer would know.

Hardsuit Labs they weren't experienced with RPG's and The Chinese Room isn't experienced with quality. It has been believed that the changes made to Bloodlines 2 was Paradox wanting to replicate Cyberpunk 2077 using Fabien as their Johnny Silverhand until there was overwhelming criticism regarding Fabien talking too much to the point of being an annoyance from what remaining audience that has any interest in this game.

After seeing the male and female character models I could not tell the difference between the male and female without zooming in on the image. They should have just used the character models from the Hardsuit Labs build. These models are from clan Ventrue and clan Tremere. The female Tremere makes a brief appearance in the second video from the leaked Hardsuit Lab videos, she is seen using the blood boil discipline.

Is this game still going to be about an ancient who awakens in the modern nights? I can't wait for the inhuman monster who is centuries behind the Current Year being 100% on board with respecting pronouns or whatever.

Unfortunately, yes. The Chinese Room were given Bloodlines 2 on November 2021 and have be working on it since January 2022, then it was officially announced that TCR was the studio in September 2023. They were too far into development that they couldn't make any major changes.

Had they came out before they started and presented the main character as a 400 year old Elder butch lesbian named Phyre, everybody would have laughed at them for such a bad idea. That is why they were able to axe the voice lines with Fabien that everybody hated. There would have been dialogue between the two of them that would have amounted to verbal yellow paint giving Phyre hints on what to do.

They really should have just stuck with Hardsuit Labs original script and a silent Protagonist. Then again Paradox wanted these changes.

The links are to a forum called Quarter To Three, its where game developers are among their users. They talk about the projects they are working on.

That's what Dragon's Breath shells and flamethrowers are for, not flaming hot Cheeto batons.

I also doubt these "thermal" weapons are going to do aggravated damage to you as they should, or that this game even has aggravated damage.

That aside, I actually like the idea of the Second Inquisition, if not the implementation of it.
The Second Inquisition works best when it fell on the Anarchs. It made the Camarilla seem more pragmatic evil instead of dumb evil for their rules. Trying to lean to far into the hunter's side gets messy though, because while the cynicism of WoD works well for the undead, it does not for holy soldiers chosen by heaven fighting against monsters and literal demons.

An ancient Tzimisce with moderate manipulation would probably acclimate right into a woke nonbinary polycule. Possibly literally.

It was worse than that. It was a giant blinking neon road sign, at least in the snippet they showed off where you interrogate a guy after you break into his hideout, and as he's panicking Fabien oh-so helpfully tells you "He's hiding something from you".
