That alongside a red state legislature is sufficient to utterly fuck election fortification. See Wisconsin as an example. Most governors will not dare veto any simple measures the legislature pass, and the courts then can be used to shoot down existing acts and procedures.
These are useful small victories, even if they happen to be in already-red states. If we can see more of them in blue states at local levels, it'd be glimmers of hope.
I’d say it’s pretty sad, and if you look at what goes on in law schools and the graduates they produce, it could be even sadder.
To explain because Wisconsin is my wheelhouse. Wisconsinites like people who act competently and efficiently. We thus think that Barnes can be shot into the sun for all we care. Sadly, Evers has mostly handled things alright and most importantly did not step int he way fo the legislature de-fortifying the election. So, not a smuch animosity against him.
You know this wouldn't look out of place in the slums of Kathmandu or Manilla. Damn.
