I think this is the most concerning thing for me. Despite democrats fucking up as horrifically as they have, blue states are still solid blue. Red states that were wishy washy before are now solid red. In spite of the immense happenings nothing has changed other than people digging their heels in harder. Neither side is willing to concede an inch. Balkanization/civil war is all but inevitable at this point, it's just a matter of when and how explosive it will be.
You can't heal when one side constantly says if you vote red the democracy we love will be at stake. Queer people will be murdered and women will be turned into the hand maiden's tale. Even if you have a gop that says "were to have open ideas and debate." You're not going to have much of a debate when one side says. "Republicans are literal Nazis and we need to punch/kill Nazis to save the queer socialist kids!!!!"

When Trump basically said Fuck you I'm American they still responded with the Hysteria. Our elites love to use the word democracy as a vague interpretation of freedom the can make mailable so you can't use your democracy (evil and populist) against our (Intelligent and fair) democracy.
Once you understand it's all about weasel words to make your side look golden it's all so tiresome.

Older Texas millennial, and it seems that a lot of millennials as a whole (usually the younger ones) have an extremely authoritarian view of the world and how it should be run - and that's terrifying to me. I don't know what the fuck happened.
The way I see it with more progressives is they see themselves as so great and good for the nation and world that anyone who doesn't accept their worldview and policies must be evil, therefore they are in the right to do whatever they want to thwart those opposed to them. Same shit with the green energy types. They're so far up their own asses they don't see how awful their policies will be for everyone, themselves included.
Whenever I feel shitty about living in NY I just drop myself on Google street view onto Kensington Ave in Philly and feel so much better after that.

Seriously, whoever is reading this, do it, drop yourself at Kensington and Allegheny and move around. It's incredible
You weren't joking. Dropped in randomly and it looks like a wasteland.

I've experienced the same and it really is the goddamnedest thing. In the mid 2000s, all my friends and I were all staunch pro-liberty, pro-free speech, anti-authoritarian, fuck-you-I-won't-do-what-you-tell-me types.

Turns out I was the only one who actually held those principles and everyone else just did it because it was trendy at the time. Those same people talk about the necessity of hate speech laws to protect everyone's feelings on the Internet now.

Kensington makes wherever those first two places look like where Penn’s campus and Drexel’s campus is at University City. Or Old City near Independence Hall and Penn’s Landing. Or the Ben Franklin Parkway.

If you have no idea about the area that may make absolutely no sense.

I wish this prick would "accept total defeat" that his grift is over.
Thernovich and his ilk are grifters never forget. Also this is a retarded take because if that were the case JD Vance wouldn't have won. He would have been blown out in major proportions. If anything Ohio going solidly for JD Vance is a sign Trump's not only not out but he's back for blood.

lukewarm Republican/Democrat victory is a worst case scenario for right wingers. If it's a red wave then Republicans might have enough anti-establishment pickups to make influence in the party. If the Dems 100% cheat everything then accelerationists can get their way. A moderate victory is just gonna be more neocon GOPErs letting the economy collapse and taking the blame for it because that's their only role.

As much as I hate agreeing with that last part, it's the truth. I remember back with Obama when they had the senate and REFUSED to vote on their own budget because the house wouldn't go along (and voted on their own) and they didn't want to "waste time" in the midst of a do-nothing house and senate narrative. I remember it was that point where I foreclosed on ever officially supporting them. In an era where image/optics means everything, and the media and academia don't even need fuck ups on your part to trash you.... They just sat back and devoured that pointless L for no other reason than that they could.

With about 1/3 of the votes in, Newsom looks like he will be governor of California again (so far he has a 1 million vote lead), which isn't surprising given the voting makeup of California in general and the power of the cities there. Californians in general seem to be generally ignorant about the policies their governor enacts that hurts them - Bay Area Californians seem to be intentionally ignorant.
It's the coastal crazies vs. the interior and Northern CA. From about Marin County to the Mexican border the coastal crazies outnumber the Americans in the interior and Northern CA. That's what gets Dems elected to the state offices and to so many seats in Congress.

Anyone know why Nevada still has no results?
Ballots left in drop boxes on Election Day and those that arrived by mail on Tuesday won't be immediately counted, according to the Secretary of State's office.

ballots postmarked on Election Day are still counted if received up to four days later. Voters are also allowed seven days post-election to correct any errors identified on their ballots. As of Monday, there were over 5,000 mail ballots that needed to be corrected in Clark County alone.

I think Nevada is the last chance for Republicans to get 51 Senators, unless I missed something.

Huh. Lots of "98% reporting" but then you look at individual county results for the county elections and they all go "Oh, 0% reporting".

How, when I check 10 counties, none of them have reported, is it 98%?

THey must have just reported their State and Federal stuff and not county and city.

Same here! I remember in high school seeing my classmates leave class to attend anti-war rallies at the capital. Now those same people are cheering on for a all out nuclear war to fight "muh fascism". It was never about whatever morals the Dems championed at the times. It was always about having their guy be the one in charge.

To explain because Wisconsin is my wheelhouse. Wisconsinites like people who act competently and efficiently. We thus think that Barnes can be shot into the sun for all we care. Sadly, Evers has mostly handled things alright and most importantly did not step int he way fo the legislature de-fortifying the election. So, not a smuch animosity against him.
Looking at the map, the only people who actually shill Evers are the troons in Madison, the basketball Americans in the north side and/or white, bad smelling Riverwest poverty tourists, and counties bordering the twin cities, lmao
