The UK will make all the weapons now covered by the offensive weapon list illegal to own from 8th May, rather than just "carry in public", as I think it works now.

You know, I think I understand. Someone told Parliament and the Royal Oi Guvs about the argument against gun control inwhich you can never ban firearms because they're trivial to make with basic tools.

I don’t think this is a left vs right problem. Nobody wants murder in their streets but politicians just enforce the most reactionary short sighted laws treating the symptom and not the cause.

There was a Twitter post a while when someone actually joked to the police about unlicensed butter knives and their legitimate reply was a butter knife can cause as much damage as a bayonet. Now correct me if i’m Wrong but at no point in recorded military history has there been a butter knife charge from the trenches.
I’m honestly tempted to buy some butter knives a bayonet and a pig from the butchers just to show them how stupid they bloody look.
