The replies are full of class A retards advising your local PhD sped to breach policy or try isolate the EDR by blocking it from making any sort of network connection to report back to its platform. An EDR worth its salt would go haywire as soon as that kind of activity was detected anyway. He should buy his own damn laptop and lock it down if he wants privacy for research.
