I'm kind of half-curious if they'll ban him for insulting the mods, here.

A mod tries to justify the counterintuitive web design. Note how the link he's referring to is at the very bottom of the homepage, where the average person wouldn't click on it in favor or immediately registering an account, the which is already visible in the upper right corner of the screen when the page loads.

Take it easy, dude. There's only eight of them and they have thousands of pages to curate, and a fully functional forum!

Oh, and the admins are only there to collect the ad revenue will occasionally updating the site.
A valid enough point...but they're still not doing what they should to keep the ball rolling on the site.
They like the feeling of having power.
Easy to glean that fact from their overall behavior on here.

With the talk of their paranoia in the past few posts, I wouldn't be all that shocked if they were so sackless as to look up my name on the internet and find out I'm a member here. If they want to do it, then that just proves to me and everyone else here that they're a bunch of cowardly pussies who can't take what they dish out.

This page reads like TVT Bingo.

All that's missing is a fixation on Youtubers.
Yeah, I haven't updated that page in ages. It always feels weird going back to older parts of your life and realizing just how dumb and strange you were when you were younger.

But at the end of the day, I think we're all weirdoes, and that's what I love about this community: the ability to co-exist and have fun laughing at others and ourselves and not get so pissy about it.

They do want to moderate. The reason why they're lazy is because it's far easier to banhammer someone for breaking a rule than warn them with a PM.

According to old forum posts, they didn't have a suspension policy in the days of yore and the mods used to PM someone when they did something wrong. They were pissed off because this was costing them precious moderation time, so Eddie built the suspension system and now they go on a shoot-first-ask-questions-later basis.

Have you seen Fighteer's posts? He is the epitome of power abuse and his condescending holier-than-thou attitude perfectly defines "power-mad asshole."

Wishful thinking. Fighteer is never going to get fired because he's the oldest on the staff (since August 2010 and the days of Eddie), and he does communicate with the admins from time to time. People hate him for sure, but the chance of him getting canned is virtually nil, especially since the admins (who are the only ones who can do something) are sitting on their asses and doing nothing.
It's hilarious when you consider this dude (unlike Eddie) actually has a kid

...Why does this fanfic have a trope page?
dremland.png

What makes it more important than other Gijinka and College AU fanfics?

cursed image it produces.png

I... didn't need that image in my head...

Wait, isn't Bandana Waddle Dee male?

Bandana Dee is Trans apparently.png

I guess this is what makes it so special in the eyes of the Tropers.

You can bet all the Funny and Heartwarming moments in those tabs were added by the author themselves.

Also:
LOL, what a great time to talk about how much you accept your friend.
"I know you're on the brink of dying, and the villain is still here trying to kill us, but I just want you to know that I fully accept your mental illness."

TVTropes was always inimical to the creative process. It was a Burmese tiger trap for amateur artists and writers, often tricking them into believing they must "abide" by the cliches listed on the site as if it were some sort of code. I'm not surprised it devolved even further into a den of degenerates, groomers and self-mutilating homosexuals.

Have you even seen "Ambigous Gender Identity"?
Speaking of that trope, I swear Yume Nikki's protagonist was listed as such, and the reason why tropers thought of that way was because you can make her use the Men's Bathroom, and that she wouldn't mind going in there.
But I couldn't find anything in the history. Maybe I remember it wrong?
I did find something similiar like that in WMG page, but that's all.

If Tropers did real gymnastics as well as they did mental gymnastics, they'd be the fittest people ever.
These theories are so braindead retarded since there are so many questions that would be opened if their retarded theories were true. For a website where users act like they know more on stories than the creators, they sure like to make shitty plot ideas all the time.

It reminds me of an anecdote someone on the Flop House podcast told about going to watch Memento with a group at college, and when people were discussing their interpretations of it, one woman basically said her theory was that it was all a dream as he was dying, and the Flop House guy just left in disgust becaus it missed the entire point of the film.

so many of their theories and tropes require ignoring major plot points or character development so they can squeeze them into the tropes they want to be able to add to a work’s page, because despite having it as one of their two mantras, they still seem to think that the more tropes sosmething has on its page, the better it is.

also, from their ‘Values Resonance’ page:

...what?

lol, that whole page is a gold mine:

Keep in mind that giant rats usually die in one hit and are one of the weakest and most pathetic enemies in the game, besides maybe radroaches. They're a minor nuisance at best.

As someone who's not into Fallout, even I know that there's more annoying shit that can kill you.

And in the same vein how other autistics hate Chris, we get a woman feeling uncomfortable over an autistic guy hitting on her.

Maybe it's supposed to be the event horizon of a kugelblitz.
