I'll never stop being amused and angry that these tards became the exact same type of moral puritans they hated as a kid.

I'm really interested to see what becomes of Zoomers and Alphas in the next 5-10 years and if we're in for a rebellion against SJWism just like Gen Xers and Millennials rebelled against fundies.
TV Tropes will be dead in a few years given how its traffic ranking is plummeting. Generation Alpha will start really getting online this decade but they won't be using that site. Frankly I'm not even sure how many zoomers use it given it apparently peaked in 2011.

This is probably true but I can't see taking Alexa ranks seriously. I don't see absolute idiots who deliberately install literal spyware to keep track of every site they visit as representative of the Internet population at large. Frankly the shit that already spies on you involuntarily is bad enough.

Sure, but these are tropers we're talking about here. Who do you think is most inclined to do that?

Anecdotally the evidence here does seem to suggest that the decline is happening. Apparently it's been going on for 9 years or so.

Pop culture sites like tvtropes will survive in some form.Since the interest in pop culture will not wane I seriously doubt zoomers are less interested in pop culture than Millenials or Gen X and there will always be a dedicated group of followers maintaining traffic plus the occassional new 'recruit'.Certain things have survived for so long in 'internet' years that they'll keep going barring some nuclear war.And maybe even then.Think about the fact that a site like the nuclearweaponarchive is still around despite it having its start back in the 1990's and many of its files haven't been updated since then. Although in fairness you could argue that this particular site is actually more useful. But if that can still survive largely unchanged tropes will probably survive in some form.

Nuclearweaponarchive is a lot more useful than TV Tropes. Today's pop culture fans mostly just use Reddit and Twitter.

@Uncanny Valley What was TV Tropes like at its peak in 2011? I know it used to have tropes like "Rape is OK if..." and "Innocent Panties", so it seemed even worse back then.
I think it was easier to avoid the creepy sex stuff than the political stuff since the sex stuff was mostly confined to a couple pages and didn't pretend to be authoritative, it was obviously a couple of spergs writing one-handed. There was however that one page (I wanna say it was called Perverse Sexual Lust or something) where people talked about how sexy Nostalgia Critic and other TGWTG personalities are as well as the Troper Tales section in general full of "that happened" stories as well as people typing one-handed stories about wanting to fuck the Smurfs or whatever.

I remember there was a page called "Fetish Fuel: The Nostalgia Critic", which basically summed up TV Tropes at the time.

Great now you've given me flashbacks to the paragraph of someone cataloging the videos Linkara showed his forearms in. That page... if it's archived there's some frightening TMI on it.

Well, he was a nasty cock slut after all.

They had a section for Film Brain even though they knew he was a minor at the time.

Guys, we got ‘em. And from the looks of it, we already have a mini lolcow.
Also, you notice they mention “the Lost Media Wiki” which from my personal experience, is practically a mini breeding ground for these kind of individuals

LMW is something I have to begrudgingly appreciate. I admire that they find all these lost films and TV shows (with outside help of course), but their users feel like the rejected offspring of a TVTropes/CLG Wiki/Wikia three-way.
The actual Lost Media Wiki in itself seems harmless enough, in that it pursues exactly what it says on it's title, although I can't say I check the place much to begin with.
The discord server of the same name, on the other hand? Very little to no media discussion from what I've seen. Instead, it's either weirdos trying to one up each other on how politically correct they are, or pearl clutching about how much they white knight trannies, since it's one of those "we protect LGBT people from being offended" hugboxes. Goes without saying the admins in there have a penchant for cudgeling if not outright harassing it's users for objecting to the tone policing, and then disguising their actions with "lol its just a prank bro don't take the internet seriously."

Browsing Tv Tropes feels like a chore, their obssessive cataloging of every single "trope" shows that autism truly speaks

It's more autistic for you to be doing a 100% completion run on reading this website.

Might not be a retarded story but he still looks like his lightsaber is a prosthetic penis.

They've also gotten in slapfights with Youtubers covering lost media, and the uber-autistic among the community have harassed people for info on kids shows.

It's hilarious they think nazis, communists, and conquistadors are somehow mutually exclusive. As if the USSR didn't try imposing its philosophy on other nations. (religion I'll grant is trickier to fit in)
The use of these names is more about external ethos than use of force. By the nature of the discussion they're saying that they're not exclusive in the first place.

Lucky you.... look what I found...

Go on. See how much you can get through...

Oh and look who had their own page...

There. Now you can all share in my pain. SHARE IN THE PAIN!

EDIT:

I...... THINK I agree with you? Not sure what you're saying.

Atheism was the official religious stance of the Soviet sphere countries and there were active campaigns to suppress religion. So even if the USSR wasn't imposing its religion per se, it was imposing its religious policies. (Even though WW2 saw reapproachement between the government and the Russian Orthodox Church and the Soviet state later supported or maybe instigated the efforts by the Patriarch of Moscow to supplant the Ecumenical Patriarch as the head of Orthodox churches.)

You worshipped the State.
