The Cracked page is bad about this. It’s nothing but Social Justice bullshit asserting that it’s fine that the supposed comedy site is doing nothing but idiotic politics because what they’re saying is so important.
You can't be a comedy site and still try to be serious with politics especially sjw politics

Tropers are so gullible I'm surprised troper deaths aren't more of a common occurence.

The site that consently tries to push My Little Pony on every page, including fanfic. Also tries so hard to be political serious at the same time.
Its so stupid and it makes me laugh 😆

The most important lesson ever taught to me by Cracked was its sudden and flagrant flip flop from shilling Vladimir Putin to calling him the devil.

It's amazing how Vladi went from being the Biggest Chad Ever to being hated when he started opposing Western Liberalism. Guy's a bastard, sure, but Russia's government has always been built on authoritarian bastards who can keep the nobles from killing each other.

Russia's history has always been like that. Also the guy is one of the tameist compare to some of the Russian leaders in the past. So he may be a bastard, but he isn't the worst bastard in Russia history.

About the only major Tsar I can think of that was potentially fairer than Putin was Alexander II, and he still ended up being murdered by communists for still not doing enough in their eyes. As said, large and diverse countries like Russia need strongmen to unify the tribes and nobles to keep the system running in any major way.

Most of the west seems to forget how Russia history is. So the fact they think they could put a none authoriarn in power and it will go smoothly. Shows that most people really don't pay attention to history. They tried doing that in the 90s and just didn't work out for them. So that's way Putin got in the first place.

Being a strong man in Russia is basically part of their culture.

What communists? He was murdered by anarchists.

That being my point. Socialism does not necessarily equal communism, especially in the 19th century. They were anarchists, but they were not communists. Those came later.

They advocated for the consolidation of serf lands into agricultural communes, mirroring the policy the Bolsheviks ended up putting in place with Collectivization. That's communism no matter how you slice it, even though they were originally in the camp with Bakunin. I guess this is a tangent though.

Putin may not be as bad as say Kim but he's still among the very worst people on the planet and quite a bit worse than even some russian leaders from the past. Also lets be clear here the stated goal of the russians is to bring down the US.Its not to reach an accomodation.Primarily because no accomodation with the US can be made where the russians get what they want.Sure they want that as revenge for losing their empire so from their POV its justified but no american should be naive enough to think that just because Putin is not a communist that he's somehow an okish guy.Although i have noticed that many americans are quite gullible.Your average middle class middle aged american if you joke with him a bit and have a couple of drinks he's gonna think you're a nice guy and not realise that you might actually have a hidden agenda.I think education in the US should emphasise a bit more 'smart' paranoia.Paranoia in the US is taught in a very agressive guns blazzing manner and not the subtle learn to read a face manner and learn to understand subtext manner.
This might explain why american citizens keep getting themselves arrested while visiting other countries.Even persons who should know better like that former marine currently held in a russian prison. If he was smart he would have avoided Russia the moment US-Russia relations turned sour. But again too many are not properly paranoid a resulf of a defective education which deemphasises the risk of getting arrested.Too many americans are educated in assuming that innocent of a crime means that the authorities won't pick you up when in fact innocence only means that you won't know why you're getting arrested. But the american system doesn't emphasise the possibility that innocence and guilt might not mean much of anything especially if you're a tourist in a foreign country that has a complicated relation with the US.The american system doesn't actually teach the art of manipulation and subversion possibly because it conflicts with an open society. But the end result is a middle aged former marine that ends up in prison in Russia because he was too stupid to realise the danger.
