Here's the link btw: Prepare to Cringe

This thread remains the most unintelligible in community watch.

My assumption would be that each trope has its own page full of documented examples. This screenshot leads me to understand that each fucking fandom gets its own page per trope, and that page is filled with context free inside jokes?

Jesus Christ, that site is like Reddit on steroids. Some of those references are single word! It's as though they're holding up some YouTube idiot as the equivalent to Citizen Kane

Worse.

GooberGrape

Shockingly I have seen quite a few of them break away from the cult-like mentality they have around Doug, but they're still a bunch of braindead SJW fucks.
Periodically I am reminded why I hate TV Tropes users. This is one of those times. What a fucking :autism: SJW circlejerk.

Speaking of TV Tropes, I wanted to make clear something about my status there:

As I run a site technically counter to theirs despite our alliance against causing each other trouble and whapping idiots like Nate Spidgewood with a legal newspaper if need be, I have a few rules I need to follow:

1. I cannot, in any way, comment publicly on All The Tropes. It would be considered plugging a competitor, and even though I see it more as an alternative, I understand and accept the logic behind this.

I do have a comment on my personal trope page concerning my site, but only in the context that we have no desire to see harm come to TV Tropes and discourage anyone seeking to do the same.

2. I am welcome to edit, contribute to the community there, and am otherwise considered a regular member, provided I adhere to the first condition unless given leave to do so otherwise by staff.

3. Given how I'm essentially serving as a diplomatic envoy to TV Tropes, that means if there is a legal complaint about anything on our site concerning content alleged to be taken from TV Tropes illegally, I will be the first to hear of it and I will have to respond ASAP. This has yet to be a serious issue, and it is well known I work hard to stomp down on plagiarists, so I doubt this will ever be a problem.

In short, our alliance is based on good faith as defined by the above, and frankly, given how Fast Eddie was an utter asshole to me, I consider these terms an acceptable state of affairs and have every intention of adhering to them.

They posted about a page worth of crap about how SAD and DEPRESSING Donny's stupid emotionally manipulative backstory was (For those who thankfully have never seen Demo Reel Donny's mom committed suicide and leaving him alone in the world to get abused for thirty+ years.) Fortunately they cleaned it up, but they still take it seriously for some reason best known to their :autism:

Then Mr. Enter came along with his emotionally manipulative bullshit, and I'm pretty sure it all moved over there.

Apparently "cringe" is an alt-right term now.

Anyone who wants to risk their sanity, read the next three or so pages of their TGWTG thread, starting from here:

tl;dr version: Tropers try to paint Iron Liz and @LordKaT as Neo-Nazi sociopaths. And no, I'm really not exaggerating when I say that.

Iron Liz? Seriously? I would think she would get some sort of immunity since she's transgender but I guess not.

She voted for Trump and talked about white farmers in South Africa getting their land taken without compensation, so in the minds of Tropers that makes her Hitler, trans or not.

I would think that her trans-ness would at least make her Hermann Göring in this analogy.

Adrian is a lolcow, so don't take anything from him seriously. He is infamous for making the LGBT thread a shithole, and other tropers tell him to fuck off. He also claims to be transgender, but has put no effort into changing, so he still has his five o'clock shadow and Columbine bowlcut.

      • The Legend of Korra focuses on social inequality, materialism versus spiritualism and the progress of society in the face of technology. Socialism, anarchism and fascism are shown through its villains while also showing that the philosophies themselves are not without merit (equality, freedom and strong leaders are necessary for a progressive society) and that the antagonists are going too far in forcing their will on the world. Korra's growth as a person and even her love life are pretty good indicators for becoming a responsible adult that takes care of oneself while also being considerate and understanding of others, even said antagonists. Some fans have even said that Korra's discovering her feelings for Asami in the last season helped them with similar issues in their life.

I forgot how cancerous Avatards were
