That's ironic, since the only I've ever even heard of that show is because some of those Anitubers (or maybe it was ANN) sperged out over the show daring to have the audacity to not portray the police as a bunch of brown-people murdering automatons.
It's funny, I thought TVT would like it considering how often it beats you over the head with the message that women are so much more naturally empathetic and better at their jobs than stupid, bumbling guys.

I'd love to know who's exactly seething about an apolitical biography of a police officer that was turned into a slice of life anime.

Just looked at the page of "Police in a Pod", another underrated anime that I just enjoyed recently.
I'm honestly not surprised at this point

I can't breathe...!!!
Putting aside the can of worms that is that post: That fucker does realize this show is about Japanese police officers right? Not the admittedly shitty American kind? Are all police bad, regardless of country now? When was this established?

When BLM activists took to the streets of Britain despite the brits having absolutely fucking nothing to do with St. George Floyd's death.

Imagine that you're so angry that you've spent your free time throughout Christmas and an week after New Years just to pressure the jannies into posting an unfinished apology that you're demanding for.

Six hours later and this one guy is still angry over an certain comment in the Stonetoss thread. If I'm reading it right, this was shortly before Crazy became an mod.

Silasw has gotten around  to pointing out how retarded it is to repeatedly demand that the jannies have an perfect memory over shit that happened 2 years ago and they should immediately respond to some rando's demands for an apology or something. So far, someone else is defending the critic on account that one of the mods called him an lunatic for repeating himself, a few days ago

The mentally challenged had taken an two day break from arguing amongst themselves. Today, the main rabblerouser has outed for importing drama and they will continue to argue over how ethical it is to preemptively out someone for being an literal Nazi as their handlers quietly jerk each other off over the latest source of entertainment

And here's one of the posts that started this fiasco, along with the article

Someone freaking out because there was an literal Nazi running loose 6 years ago and they're obsessed with cancelling one of their heralds. Who knew that saying "masturbatory" would set them off? Or making lame jokes about Pokemon?

But he just apologized for the stuff that he said, an few months ago. Hooray for cancel culture! Although, he was also shitting on AI-generated art. And it turns out that his apology just wasn't good enough for some people!

And the janitors made the rational decisions to bar newfags from the revision threads, nearly everyone is involved is angry because it's promoting gatekeeping

Random review that managed to piss someone off

This is the reason I swore to myself to never touch the TVT forums, ever. I only ever use the site to pass time and read about my favorite pieces of media and what people think of them (via YMMV, of course.)

Fanfiction.net has a policy where, if a creator asks nicely (or not so nicely if they're feeling litigious), fan fics of their works are ineligible for being hosted on their website. Granted, it doesn't do anything if someone writes a fan fiction in private or hosts it somewhere else but since fanfiction.net does for fan fiction what Deviant Art does for fan art, it's a good way for creators to discourage others from making derivative works based on their own intellectual property.

Do you think that Tv Tropes work the same way? That if someone who owns an intellectual property, they could request TV Tropes from making a page on it? I want to get into creating something and releasing it independently and would rather not have spergs argue over it in their obsessive forums or edit pages.

I used to like TV Tropes when it was just fun and casual but now they've more or less become the very thing they used to hate the most, what they call "Serious Business". You're not even allowed to make a new trope page for a trope or piece of media unless you get it approved by the hive mind first.

Here's a fun fact about their forums: did you know that no property can have more than one thread? You have to discuss shows only in their own specific thread or they'll get super pissy about it. So let's say you had a highly specific question about a show so obscure, they don't even have a thread about it. On most forums, you would just make that question into its own thread, get a few responses, and then it'll die on its own. Having the question be its own thread title is eye-catching and guarantees someone will see it. But no, if the thread for the show doesn't already exist, you're expected to make a new thread to open all discussions about the show or, if the show already has a thread, post there and hope someone sees a question posted in a 1000+ mega thread.

That's so far down the list of things to worry about it... by the time you reach the point even spergs would take notice the entire site might be dead.

Go on and create and if it ever reached the point of Troping, then you can see about asking the mods politely.

Otherwise I'd say "hey, it's humanity, you can't control who will love your work or for what reason, just accept the free advertising."

After emerging from their semi-private BDSM session, three or four mods were found to be guilty of thoughtcrime, along with one of the heralds for surpassing the hurtful truth level.

Faced ran shortage of condoms and lube for their month-long erotic role-playing, they've posted another boilerplate statement that has miraculously distracted the masses from the smell of expired rectal lubricant. They eventually realized that life was certainly an lot better with Fighteer actually railing random users in the ass, so he'll be coming back to the mod team in an future announcement because he promised them several boxes of animal -shaped dildos and tissues

And also, someone had an boner writing the real life section

Speaking from experience, odds are very good that if it's obscure (and whatever you make will be), no one will make a TV Tropes page on it anyway without you making it yourself or asking someone to make it for you.

But if you're an independent creator, it's not a good idea to totally ban your work from there since it's free advertisement and TV Tropes spergs probably make great paypigs for a Patreon or whatever.
