Honestly I don't find The Boys comic to be bad, I get that Garth has a massive hate boner for superheroes but people are missing the point, probably because people have a septic mentality. Joke aside, he makes a very good point about superheroes and how they would be if they had the same flaws and insecurities as normal people but at the same time he also shows how some people like Hughie, Starlight and MM don't succumb to such corruption and wickedness as other Supes because they are the few that either have legitimate strong moral foundations or just don't care about the power apart from the practical benefits it gives them.
I get that the narrative can be bad and there are some dumb twists but behind the crassness and filthy there is a very good message, don't let power get to your head and stay grounded, and don't be cunt, not even Butcher who was one of the more normal characters didn't get off the hook and we all know how much Garth loves his edgy (borderline) Normal Anti-Heroes, so he doesn't spare his favorites even.
The Amazon series does have some pros and cons but one good thing it does is make it digestible to a broder audience without compromising on it's core values, the other is the casting because we all know that Anthony Starr steals the show in 9/10 cases. My only grib with the show is that it strays a bit too much from the vision Garth Ennis had but considering how harshly he bashes American culture and his Northern Irish perspective on matters.
I doubt The Boys suck because if it did there would be no way in hell that it would picked up and become such a good tv adaptation. So I respectfully disagree. As for TVT, they are too retarded to judge shit.
