I think that's because they went through at least 3 to 5 instances of people leaving the site over the redesign, an sudden policy change, and from Fighteer being Fighteer.

The worst part is that it never a debate. It's a small group of powermods and their friends who make all the descisions with no oversight. I was in one of the threads for disambiguating a trope once and, I shit you not, one of the last replies on it was "I went to bed and when I awoke I realized that X was not a trope, so cut it"
Like excuse me? Are you fucking crazy? This page has been here since 2008 but suddenly it's not going to be a thing anymore because you slept on it?

Eventually, they're going to do this with every "sex" trope because there's nothing liberals hate more than natural human attraction. Not enough troons I guess. Won't stop there though, it's going to spread until the site is just needlessly compartmentalized.

I remember being mad about it when I saw it happen myself. As dumb as it sounds, the trope existed for a reason: there is a relatively popular trend of making physically powerful women have big knockers almost as a shorthand for strength, especially with anime-inspired media. The decision to just delete is based on one mod's brief pondering is absurd and a sign that the site's moderation policy is fucked. It's really close to RPGNet mod behavior, and the “locked cuz y'all can't behave” shit is classic power-mad jannying.

They had a page on LowTierGod and uh, now they don't. I guess the Frieren anime getting it referenced on their meme page drew some attention to it and it was cut the next day. That's how quick it goes, one guy discovers somehting that rustles his jimmies and now no one gets to have fun. TVT is so scared of becoming worse Kiwifarms that they purge all lolcow pages on sight.

I might have seen that page, an while back. It wasn't really notable for being just another YTuber who sucks at vidya. But at any rate, I've found why they cut it.

Socially awkward nerds, and people with legit mental issues join together to talk about their nerdy interests in a site created by a mentally ill sad old man, that also happens to be authoritarian, and, worst of all, a Buffy fanboy.
A wiki created for buffy fanboys, evolves to classify “tropes”, Aka patterns that you see in media. And then devolves into people deluding themselves that somehow makes them masters in the craft of storytelling instead of it being a huge waste of time. Others are just obsessive, and opinionated fans with too much free time, and near zero knowledge in having empathy with other human beings.
Site gains its own culture, popularity, and a huge influence online among creatives. But Plot twist, turns out putting together a bunch of outcasts is a big problem because, guess what, a lot of them were outcasts for a reason. Contrary to popular belief, nerds are not inherently nicer or kinder. Many of them tend to have hidden resentments, anti social behaviours, a lack of empathy, huge egos, or even hidden sexual deviancy. And TV tropes is their only outlet.
Moderators can only somewhat control all the insanity by being power hungry tyrants, and being Mentally ill weirdoes with too much free time themselves. Nerds are susceptible to group think so they all become easy prey to current day Wokeshit, and cult-like mentality.
Seeing them all interact creates endless drama. You’re pretty much caught up with that.

Immediately taking the "All the haters are incels or bigots" stance is hilarious. Maybe the movie just wasn't very good, have we considered that? Or, if you really want to get down to the heart of the issue, maybe no one actually cares about this iteration of Captain Marvel as much as the suits hoped we would.
