I don't know who made the Loud House, but I feel so sorry for them, because imagine getting your cartoon on Nick and it not getting cancelled after 1 season, but its entire fandom is quietly hijacked by incest fetishists who coomed from the mere premise of one boy living with a ton of sisters.
The creator of the show made a web(?) comic about a kid cat wanting to fuck his mom. I think he knew exactly what he was doing.

I swear there's some weird collection of fics and settings that TV Tropes is just OBSESSED with and constantly reference in articles that have nothing to do with them, there's that stupid edgy Sonic fanfic, Whatley Universe, almost every mlp fanfic under the sun, a few Evangelion fics, The Infinite Loops (which I SWEAR does not have any sort of fandom outside TV Tropes) aaand Child of The Storm, which I gotta say is probably the most surprising because doesn't the woke crowd still hate JKR? It's gotta be the authors themselves editing these and bringing them up everywhere, right?
You are right on the money. It's just a thinly veiled form of publicly.

The moderators are very annal about self promotion. And other users are too for that matter. Think Teacher's pet levels of annoying. And I don't mean being a pest and annoying everyone with ads. Even when you are casual about it.

But tropers get around it by referencing their literally who fics with examples in all the tropes articles they can. That's technically accepted because the" no such thing as notabiliy" rule. As long as it exists somewhere no matter how shit it might be, you can go nuts with trope examples. It's a loophole.

To be fair very very few of those are genuine fans that like garbage. There's a reason most Channel Awesome fans are tropers. And why Linkara is still in business somehow.

Anywho, If I recall correctly "The Whateley Universe" is just an X-Men ripoff plagued with overpowered Mary Sues self inserts, artwork that might as well had been drawn by a 12 year old. And an author that thinks shoehorning every trope they know somehow makes it better. And it is indeed as terrible as it sounds.

Indeed the only reason people know this, and other terrible fics, exists is because a very small group of people shoehorn it everywhere they can. Among them the creator of course.

Otherwise only 2 or 3 people tops would know they exist, let alone read them.

I think you're right about this; there's a few fics I've seen get recommended on TVTropes that had pages very clearly written by either the author or some rather dedicated fans. Fairly obvious when that's the case, actually; the pages tend to ignore the negatives in the fic in favor of the positives, for the most part. Some sperging, but one fanfic page is outright doing nothing but praising a fanfic even though said fic is hilariously shit; it's obvious to the point where you think the TVTropes mods would do something about it, and yet they don't. Admittedly, it's probably because it's supposed to be a "deconstruction" fic, but...

It's like the whole site is a wellspring of autism...

Which fic is it? If I recall correctly, TV Tropes kinda creams itself over deconstruction fics, so that's kinda hard to narrow down.

Oh hey you guys are back. TvT is seriously starting to piss me off these days because they keep disambiguating(read: deleting) random tropes and then replacing them with nothing. Arguing about it in the forums is a zero sum game because then they'll just label you toxic and then ban you even though there is no reason to be tampering with shit that isn't broken.

Dumb cucks are actively ruining their own fucking website.

I've been mad about this for a few months, because as bad as TVT making everything a trope can be, removing certain things for no good reason is worse. This includes weapon tropes (because using certain weapons is “Not a Trope” even when it helps demonstrate personality and describe signature items) and some tropes related to visualizing power levels. It is an excellent demonstration of what happens when a forum becomes too circular and tries finding new ways to stay active

Which fic is it? If I recall correctly, TV Tropes kinda creams itself over deconstruction fics, so that's kinda hard to narrow down.

I've mentioned/sperged about it a few times on this site; it's called Aimless.

Basically, it's supposed to be a "deconstruction" of numerous cliches common in Spyro fanworks, taking a number of potshots at both general cliches and the fandom-specific "Post-DOTD Template", which TV Tropes did provide a solid write-up of; taken from the site itself:

There's such a specific Fandom-Specific Plot that occurs so regularly in the fic fandom that there's even a Fan Nickname for lampshading it. Called "The Post-DotD template," it goes a little like this: A new ancient evil emerges, and Spyro, Cynder, and a ton of OCs (one of them possibly a human turned dragon) must stop it. A long the way, they encounter Flame and Ember who some how managed to survive the temple raid at the start of the first game, and nine times out of ten Ember is derailed into a death eater to make Cynder seem more likable. While all this is going on, Spyro and Cynder are struggling with their Super-Powered Evil Sides while also trying to admit their feelings for one another despite Cynder already admitting her love for Spyro at the end of Dawn of the Dragon, with some contrived situation (usually caused by Ember) breaking them up, only to get back together a few chapters later with little to no problem. Also, double points if Malefor shows up and pulls a Dr. Wily by hijacking the plot. It's impossible to count the number of fics that give Spyro a brother/sister who is also a purple dragon (despite the fact that only one purple dragon is born every ten generations) on both hands.

[*]Trapped in TV Land Self-Insert fics have all but taken over the Spyro FanFiction.Net archive. Notably, a large number of these involve a character who was in the army/police force/otherwise had special self-defense training getting sucked into the Legend of Spyro setting, as some form of 'justification' as to why they're able to handle themselves in the world.

Basically, The Silent Insomniac - the author for Aimless - decided to write a fic that was "deconstructing" a lot of these cliches; his aim was to make a fic that would provide "realism" and focus on how someone would "realistically" act when they were trapped in the world of their favorite video game series and be unable to leave. What actually happened was that Aimless turned out to be... pretty shit, to say the least: for a fic that was supposed to be mocking cliches, it ended up unironically hitting an awful lot of them.

To elaborate/sperg:

The MC - Joshua Renalia - is pretty much completely unlikable, often acting immature and generally idiotically even at best. Despite him supposedly being a character designed to deconstruct May Sues, Josh unironically ends up being as big a Sue in most cases; getting mysterious and unique abilities, having a tragic and angsty story, being seen as a cool and rebellious badass despite doing little more than bitch and angst, etc. His sole personality trait is basically "panic and/or spew obscenities at how bad his situation is", and yet the entire cast seems to revolve around him regardless; everyone either immediately loves or absolutely despises the guy, with the latter group - including Spyro - often being portrayed as idiotic strawmen and either verbally and/or physically beaten down until they side with Joshua's side of things.

Speaking of; there's basically no real characters in the fic. Everyone, including canon characters, are often reduced to shallow archetypes that often don't even mesh well with their canon selves, and everyone single one of them often tends to revolve around how much their either love or hate Joshua. Spyro himself is the worst offender; in canon, he was a relatively nice guy, while in the fic he tends to flip between either an arrogant jackass, or a complete psycho who regularly abuses Cynder, assaults and screams at others at random, and repeatedly tries to murder Joshua for vague reasons. Apparently, this is supposed to be a "fair and reasonable look at how PTSD affects people," according to the author. Other notable characters include Cynder, who was rewritten into being this "strong and independent waman who constantly has to put up with idiotic males", and Blink, who is supposed to be this streetwise punk that's "held back by society". Bear in mind, these are the characters' sole personality traits in the fic.

The worldbuilding isn't anything special, either; it's basically just The Legend of Spyro world, with random bits from the Classic and Skylanders games grafted on, often with no real regards to how they could realistically fit together; it feels more like the author was basically just throwing darts at a board and saying "fuck it, that'll do". There's no real consistency or general flow, with everything just existing when the author says it does. What's worse is how it tends to fuck with the establish canon in the name of "deconstruction"; i.e., the entire dragon race is made out to be a race of comically-evil "colonists" with a very bloody history, with the near-genocide of them in TLOS canon being seen as "karmic", and every other race is outright justified in hating them. The whole fic just shoves mindless Shadow the Hedgehog-esqe edginess into literally everything that it becomes impossible to really enjoy the fic. Making matters worse is that the author had already written an "epilogue" scene for the whole fic, taking place 5 years after the events of the fic, revealing that Joshua never gets to go home and is still getting bullied by Spyro.

Oh, and if you're curious about the actual plot; there isn't one. Currently, the fic keeps flipping between roughly five or six different story threads at once, forging development on any real thing in favor of either screw over Joshua - and getting screwed by him in turn - or talking about how "evil" the dragons are. There's no development in the story at all; none of the characters ever really change or develop, and the whole fic is just constant angst occasionally broken up by comedy scenes that come right the fuck out of nowhere and cause severe tonal dissonance at best. There isn't even any real central plotline, as far as I can tell; granted, some of the more recent chapters seem to be setting something up with the Sorceress, but who knows when that's going to actually start, and the aforementioned epilogue shows just how little things end up changing anyway, so... The whole thing reads like a Mykan fic, basically; wouldn't be all that bad if the fic wasn't trying to take itself dead seriously.

Currently, the fic is 58 chapters long, and is on its 2nd or 3rd story arc; apparently, there are supposed to be roughly 15 story arcs. Bear in mind, this fic has been in-progress since 2015.

And if you're wondering; yes, the author is a noted woketard. He's been known to sperg about how much he hates Trump and adores woke politics - particularly Trudeau - on both FF.net as well as other sites like DA. Would certainly explain a number of points in the fic...

What makes this fic so noticeable, in comparison to other fics, is just how much of it is mindlessly adored by the community, despite its flaws. Like, there are tons of reviews on both FF and Ao3 just showering the fic with praise and calling it unique, which... says a lot about the Spyro fandom, frankly. I mean, legit just about everything in the fic was done by other, and dare I say better, fics, so I really don't know where the hell these guys are coming from. It feels like the fic was explicitly aimed at appealing to the TVTropes crowd; the borderline checklist-list nature of how it handles certain plots, coupled with the constant feels of mindless angst in the name of "deconstruction writing" makes the whole thing come across as idiotic, frankly. There's just nothing here to enjoy unless you somehow manage to identify with the obnoxious protagonist.

Anyways, apologizes for spreging out so much; just tired of crap writing being seen as high art thanks to the obsession with deconstruction writing. Puzzle pieces and top hats are to the right.

Anyone want to post their thoughts?

Nigger, this isn't anything new.

Neither is this, but I've thought that the jannies were trying to get their shit together? Aside from, you know, Fighteer returning and at least two of them stepping out because of the "drama" that an employee caused

I can't fucking believe they brought Fighteer back. They had a whole public show about getting rid of him and now he's back like nothing happened. The most hated motherfucker on the whole site, a guy who gets namedropped in fucking YouTube and Reddit comments because he's just that well known.

And yet, nobody has publicly complained about him, yet. But they will, sooner or later

Oh, for fuck's sake, is there anything these tards won't stick the """""Aesop""""" of "Capitalism bad" on?

It's honestly pathetic in how obsessed they are at sticking their ideology into literally every piece of media. It's like they're unable to enjoy something unless it A) Says something "meaningful," and B) Reinforces their biases and ideologies. Therefore, they have to insert their beliefs into a show about goblin murder, because having it "just" be about goblin murder would be in some way "childish" and therefore "a waste of time." It's like when a teenager becomes obsessed with guns, swearing, and boobs to prove how "mature" he is, except with Marxism.

It's kind of sad the site has such a problem with diehard fans getting really autistic over fanfics they like and plugging them everywhere they can/make them seem way more popular and influential in the fandom sphere than they really are because I think in general tvtropes is still a really good place for fanfic recommendations and it's one of the few places where you can find good discussion on fanfiction in general.

Hmmm I wonder what do they think about that other one Goblin Slayer...

These people are devoid of culture and meaning in their lives, which they fill with cheap disposable audiovisual garbage.

You don't see this kind of painstakingly detailed analysis on the pages of classic works like the Odyssey, War and Peace, or A Farewell to Arms. You know, literary works made to teach legit values and lessons, with some degree of historical context. But you will have long pages and shitloads of tabs for the MCU, My Little Pony and whatever the Whateley Universe is supposed to be, complete with passionate scribes about its "awesome," "funny," "heartwarming" and "tearjerking" moments. Some of them aren't even evocative of those emotions unless you really try hard to feel something over, I don't know, Twilight Sparkle being a bitch or Tony Stark going for tacos during a tense moment.

They need to insert deeper meanings that were never intended to transmit into the crappy works they document, because otherwise, they will have to admit they are wasting their time and lives watching, playing and reading stuff made solely to entertain you for a few minutes, and mostly aimed at children and pre-teens at that.

Basically, all media is left-leaning. And any bit of media that's blatantly in favor of right-wingers isn't actually in favor of them, but is also left-leaning and is actually a parody of righties and the stupid bigots just didn't get the joke.

That's actually not a bad analysis, because it's using actual reasoning from the work itself to support it's conclusion. Goblins really do only attack shitty villages in the sticks with no one to protect them, and no one important cares if they're raided. No, if you want a real overanalysis that borders on psychotic, you're not going to find a better example than the MLP pages.

This is the kind of thing that makes book burnings and actual censorship thrive by people who keep all of the bad and harmful works that their elites have created all to themselves.

You know, for a site filled with autists, I'm surprised they're this fine with suddenly changing shit for no reason.
