Nobody knows his stances because he has no serious stances. That's the whole principle behind this type of populism, he just makes vague statements which he thinks will resonate with his target demographic (Take care of veterans, GET TOUGH on ISIS, "Build up that wall!" etc).
It's utterly ludicrous to see Trump and his followers attack "croney capitalism" and corruption when that's exactly what Trumps "self made" empire is based on. I'd think it was funny if it wasn't so depressing.
But these things won't significantly impact his popularity, it's the Berlusconi effect, where he can do just about anything and be however corrupt he wants and still garner support by being perceived as a virile maverick with entrepreneurial spirit (money and power don't hurt either). These people are sociopaths and only look out for their own interests, in other circumstances they could just as easily be mob bosses as businessmen or politicians.
Let's just hope all the columnists are right in that he's still unlikely to become the Republican candidate and even less president.
I mean look at this shit and tell me we're not living in some sort of nightmarish satirical cartoon dimension:

Then why do we have a 33 page discussion on this? If he doesn't have the intellectual capability or effort for these things then why waste ours?

You realize you are on a website that will dedicate 100 pages to analyzing a autistic man's homework scrounged from a garbage pile, right?

It's a refreshing change from the usual campaign boilerplate to be honest. A politician's pre-election "stances" don't mean shit and they never have. How many of Obama's campaign promises did he keep? Bush's? Clinton's? I could go on. I don't think any sensible person could really believe that Trump is going to build a giant wall and deport 11 million people and crush ISIS and hear the lamentations of their women and blah blah blah but who cares? Is a big dumb lie really worse than a modest, boring one (I'm going to reduce carbon emissions, enact meaningful gun control, reform the tax code and Social Security, etc.)? The simple fact is that whoever gets elected president in 2016 will inherit a massive bipartisan federal bureaucracy staffed mostly by career government employees who do most of the real work and make most of the day-to-day decisions anyway. So I say sit back and enjoy the rare occasion of a true entertainer plying his craft in a trade full of boring, unlikeable debate club nerds like Ted Cruz and Hilary Clinton.

Not if you've read history. Then it's just a tired, boring re-run you've seen a million times played by a million morons.

According to PolitiFact, more than you'd think.

The office of the President isn't nearly as powerful as most people believe. They don't have the power to implement a lot of the policies that are getting thrown around on the campaign trail; they can only ask Congress to bring it up. If Congress say "no", there's not much in the way of leverage that the President can apply.

Maybe my experience living under Jessie Ventura has made me cynical, but I question the logic of solely voting for a guy because HE'S NOT LIKE THOSE POLITICIANS, HE'LL SHAKE THINGS UP!

I mean, given the field of candidates I could honestly see myself voting for him if he started going into specifics on his goals. Hopefully that happens? Or hopefully the other candidates stop sucking so bad so I don't have to vote for freaking Donald Trump as the least worst option.

The thing about Trump is that his arguments don’t have to make sense. It is not his intention to appeal to logic, rationality, or debate. He charges his words with emotion. He promises justice to people who feel held down by the current system. He appeals to the sense of moral right and wrong among his supporters with no concern for legality or feasibility. To the people outside of this circle, what Trump says is completely absurd. But to those who share his moral world view, he’s speaking truth to power, and will defeat their enemies by righteous virtue and force of will. By cloaking himself in morality, anyone who disagrees with or criticizes him is therefore immoral and tacitly complicit with the enemy, and therefore must be shouted down as such. At the end of the day, Trump is more interested in self-aggrandizement than improving the world or the lives of the people who support him.

Donald Trump is the dark reflection of social justice.

This is the ultimate QUOTED FOR THE TRUTH right here and there will be no better usage of that meme.

You can certainly blame trash and shit like "Social Justice" for the rise of Donald Trump. There's a big reason people like me don't use that wretched term and why I never participate in discussion about those useless "SJWs"

We're so into Donald Trump as a way to countermeasure these things us true conservatives feel have been hindering us.

I was expecting more Trump supporters. Kiwi Farms aint so bad now.

I find here to be the only place that contains such negativity toward Trump. Its quite welcome, you know, because it tells me that support for Trump is a lot greater than they think.

I can remember that early July day, when right in front of me, a guy at my bar was drinking out of a "Make America Great Again" mug, showing it off after the barkeep asked him what he thought about the Trump campaign. At that point, I was a mere Bahamian barback who hated American MSM and was completely skeptical of the latest Trump tirade.

Then I went on vacation, saw a horrid country, but actually fucking sat down, read stuff, and the ride on the Trump Train has just been ever so pleasant.

You guys have no idea how exciting this is. To see such doubt, such dubious things, has just been oh so delicious. Its all the same types of conversations me and others were participating in in 2008 and 2012. Trump not being a billionaire? Sounds similar to "Obama not being a natural born citizen" to me.

Of course Trump will damage the Republican Party! The GOP has been on its last knees since the election of that fool GWB. That doesn't mean he won't be elected President if he becomes the nominee. You lefties have high hopes for Hillary, but its too soon. Benghazi, et all. Obama made a foolish choice appointing her Secretary of the State back then. My sister, the only turned-lefty in my family, is pro-Sanders and I'm still hoping he makes the nomination.

A Trump vs. Sanders would actually be more interesting for me, because it won't be as predictable as a Trump Vs Hillary. The latter may provide a tasty landslide, but the former would actually cause you all to still have hope throughout the night. Thus, bringing the cycle full circle.

(and go ahead fellas, rate this post autisitc, dumb, Islamic, Disagree all you like. It just adds to the "This is Delicious" factor I already mentioned)

I just keep living day to day, with my iPad in hand, smiling with such confidence after reading another 4 or so Donald Trump articles, with such bright, high hopes for my future, for the first time in my fucking 30 year old life. I might actually have someone with a Brain for President.

Muslim Mexican here, fam. If he wins like you want him to, and I get deported to Iraq or wherever he thinks I belong, I wish the inbred redneck radical Christians like you perish with him. It's a horrible idea to vote for the guy.

You're one to talk, anchor baby.

Another delicious, dubious thing to hear. Sorry Flowers, my good buddy, but I'm not all that sure where this idea that I am an "anchor baby" has come from.

According to Google search

"Anchor baby is a pejorative term for a child born in the U.S. to a foreign national mother who is not lawfully admitted for permanent residence."

I have legally lived in the United States on numerous occasions. I have an aunt who married an American, and she has lived their ever since. My mom went into labour with me in that house. I was "Welcome'd home" on their celebratory banner. I lived in New England from 99-02 for the ever-famous "retard academy." Most recently, I lived in Orlando from 2009-December 2010 for Full Sail. My sister, who too would be an anchor baby, if I were to be as well, will be moving back to Virginia next year, after two years back in the Bahamas. Lived there from 2010-2012, all with legal status.

I must certainly admit being proud of my duel citizenship, and it was indeed thanks to being born under the Leadership of the Great Reagan that I hold such benefits, I sure as hell brag about that when I get asked "Why do you have an American passport yet claim you live in the Bahamas?"

Thankfully, Palm Beach County, Florida is the big place where Bahamians enter the United States, and carrying an American passport allows me and my whole family to skip the line.

I'm pretty glad, since we got President Trump coming, that I didn't burn up my Passport after Obama's reelection. See, back then, we still had high fears over the O's supposed dictatorship. We still didn't wish to believe America really had elected not once, but twice, someone as naive as he.

I, as a Black man, an expect to be made a slave under Trump, I fear... And I know he's lying about being against the TPP, too, for another thing.
