Shockwave posting reminded me of some shit I was laughing about a week or 2 back that I noticed but forgot to bring up (god that's a pattern lately)

The recent legacy figure of elita 1 has an odd vaguely shockwave shaped tumor grabbing onto her head and chest that the OG g1 design did not have despite some of the shapes matching up

I haven't been keeping upw ith transformers shit too closely outside of the figures the last few years so maybe unless you're talking about the animated one that was a convention exclusive in 2011 no that's literally just dragstrip but female.
And given the fact they're still on the race team very likely the best racist.

I'll likely get three myself so I can repaint them into the other Seekers and the Primes as Ultra Magnus and Nemesis. If I can get more I'll see about Coneheads and the other primes.

I recently got some really tiny magnets and haven't used them for anything yet, but I think if you disassembled a head you could very well squeeze one of them somewhere behind the face. maybe sculpting something out of apoxie/milliput and putting one in the mask and one behind the face would work well for that kinda thing.

Speaking of custom stuff is there any specific sturdy/reliable kind of paint for customizing in your experience? I recently found a cheap-ish listing for a figure I missed NINE YEARS AGO, well not the figure itself but the figure it's a retool/repaint of. The one I want is scalped and I figured I could potentially try and restore some missing parts and do a repaint job considering both figures have the same red plastic parts as each other, it's just the one I want has silver where the non-red parts are (which is almost the whole figure lmao)

I used to have unused tamiya silver spraypaint from over a decade ago, but I got no clue where it went or if it's even still good. Places that sold it by me no longer exist it seems, and online it's ridiculous. Also weather isn't good for any kind of spraypainting ever this year, shit sucks.

EDIT: HAHA NEVERMIND IT SOLD AS I WAS GETTING READY TO GET IT (ALL OTHER LISTINGS VANISHTED TOO) AND THE ONLY LISTING NOW IS AN EXTREMELY BEAT UP ONE SOMEONE'S CLEARLY TRYING TO SCALP-FLIP AT 60 DOLLARS PLUS 10 SHIPPING NEVER MIND I'M NEVER GOING TO AFFORD OR MAKE ANYTHING EVER AGAIN LMAO HAHA WHY THE FUCK AM I ALIVE

They did come out with the dracula and frankenstein transformers a year or 2 ago I didn't get ahold of. I saw the frankesntein one once in a target and once at a discount store for slightly a little bit off when I didn't have the money for it.

I could be wrong but I don't think their price has gone up that much since they came out. Might try getting them someday but it's not a big goal of mine. I just think they're kinda neat retools of existing figures and were kinda overpriced for what they were.

I still have this EXTREMELY HALLOWEEN LOOKING guy from when I was a kid in the house somewhere. IIRC he doesn't have his arm fins because they got thrown out with his box before I noticed there were parts missing.

I already got the guy he's a retool of (that supposedly has the melting/brittlifying plastic issue but I haven't yet seen it happen on mine though I haven't transformed him in like a few years) and the only major difference is the head, chest, and the cape from what I remember. I'm not sure if draculus has the same issue as mindwipe but I wouldnt be surprised if at least some batches of him do.

It still uses rubbery plastic for the bat head, fake wings, and wingtips, the hinges will still break over time.
 
Skybound's Energon Universe, even though I don't read comics, is still way better than every single IDW story ever done, especially post 2009 or whatever. Even Dreamwave was nicer.

EDIT: Technically a few more if you count the third party ones and the cancelled takara power core combiner figure.

And hilariously the best stories IDW had to offer weren't even from their original universe. Such as Regeneration one and the G1 Marvel comics prequel Secrets and Lies. The latter especially felt like massive damage control by IDW after they realized they fucked up bigtime with their gay robo romance and now they're attempting to reconcile with the hatred of the comic audience by nostalgia baiting. Sometimes i ponder about another timeline where Dreamwave didn't go bankrupt or the comic permits weren't given to IDW but instead to another one like Dark Horse, or perhaps even returned to Marvel. IDW's shattered glass stories like Secrets and Lies, was another haphazard effort of reclaiming tarnished interest in their comics, but evidently was too late. The live action movies aren't perfect, but i seriously believe IDW did more damage to Transformers in the long term, (alongside Earthspark but that's another discussion).

Frankly, the IDW comics would've been more in hot water had they been upfront the main Transformers material instead of...everything else, cause EarthSpark and its pro-preferred pronouns episode showed how bad things had been in the writing department.

Update on the homeless tranny game shop sale: A new in-box WFC Optimus has been added to my collection. Of course, I cleaned him with soft solvent and air dried him after. I'm not a fan of keeping figures in boxes, but I'm glad he still came in his. I would've been cleaning him with Holy Water if he came loose. Homeless tranny might be in the next time I go back to scavenge for more. He either knows that I'm the one buying his shit, or he's got nowhere else to go during the day. Most likely the latter, haven't seen him do any kind of work anywhere. I will now show obvious enjoyment when I'm buying the figures he once had. Twist the knife, as they call it. I love it when I can piss of his kind just by being happy.

Guess I really do live up to the first part of my username.

But I really am getting tired of the Haslab disappointments. Every time I humor the thought of trying one out in the future if they do a character I like enough to invest money in--some bullshit happens. Is this company run by retards all across the board--from comics to toys?

Deathsaurus and Star Saber were the only good Haslab products (can't speak for anything outside of Transformers). I didn't back either of them, but people who did got a substantial value for both figures, especially since these are the only modern G1 renditions of these characters that have been created in a long time. Until there's a chance for Takara to create both characters in their Adamas Machina line or Masterpiece (In Star Saber's case, renovate him because the Haslab version is quite frankly better than the Masterpiece one, something which i'll rarely admit). The only other options you'd have for either character is 3rd party figures, which are amazing from what i've seen, but unfortunately are always the IDW versions.

Yes. I still don't know how this faggot chris cox became CEO and his decision of moving to Massachusetts is even more illogical than his promotion. Sometimes i believe Hasbro isn't even incompetent but just straight up lazy and negligent
