Which figure should I get?
The 86 constructicons are from what I've seen more or less slightly gimped official downscales of the combiner wars ones engineering wise, with the added bonus of turning devastators legs into a trailer to bump the price/parts count up. So two deluxes vs one voyager with a big fucking trailer slab.

I can't afford either, but I like how superion despite being a kinda shittier version of the menasor I missed out on in some way is still it's own thing. However once again because devastator is a downsacale of combiner wars more or less it's a more cohesive combiner even with the stupid ass price bump trailer thrown in to replace the folding out legs long haul had and doesn't just hang the bottom jets off the back in half assed wannabe car cubes.

I keep finding images when trying to find devastator by himself on image search of people jamming the downscaled KO parts onto this new official one that's "totally not just a combiner wars downscale" and it's really fucking funny to witness every time.

It'd be even funnier if a KO company upscaled the new constructicons back to CW voyager height and gave long haul the ability to fold in his legs properly even with the added trailer.

By the way, unrelated but I did a pay in 4 on something again. The galvatron heads (and a hand kit) from a china seller I mentioned a little bit earlier as being too pricey for me at like 20 something dollars for one part. Also ordered a rodimus head in case I by some lucky chance find kingdom rodimus for cheap again (still fucking mad I missed out when the figure was marked down to 40-50 because that's what it was worth as a voyager with a trailer).

EDIT TO AVOID DOUBLEPOST:
So I said in my earlier post/ramble I've been thinking about trying to make shitty sculpted approximations of figures of one off guys from the last 2 decades or so that are now scalped to hell and have just been kinda hopping through a bunch of various characters and names I remembered, and I've noticed some stuff that might be interesting to do If I was more skilled with shit.
Looking at a LOT of transformers media there's moments where characters have their arms forward and under their upper torso like a normal human wearing box shaped armor would do if they moved their arm in that spot, and that's kind of impossible to pull off with a lot of figures. HOWEVER if you added a hinge on the upper torso plate like the transformation joint on the siege seeker mold or even like the rocket pods in some figures of starscream it'd be absolutely doable though the character in question would have to have a properly greebled chest that doesn't normally open for it to look natural.

$90 for half a commander a Voyager plus 3 Minicons, one of which has a very fragile sliding rail mechanism.
EDIT: The original SDCC announcement listed the price as $75.

Yeah it's a last minute price hike of 20 fucking dollars, mixed with the combo of "premium members only for an entire MONTH as opposed to a day or 2 like most convention or online exclusives. there's no way I'm getting this figure now and it pisses me off because I was hyped for it.

I'll just live with my little guy from when i was a kid, US version obviously with the color scheme based off the Universe mammoth figure. wherever he is... Maybe I'll find him someday and take pics.

Your entire rant here resonates with me and also reminds me of people saying that official Japanese media like Supergod Masterforce and Zone not being "real Transformers", when the franchise used to be much more creative and surprising with what type of story it would tell you. I think another problem is that people these days are also creatively bankrupt, so they recycle the same easy format with any nuance dissolved. The same people who trash on the Japanese side of things and even the Bayverse, are the same group of people who collectively are entranced by lbbq romance and IDW's awful stories and say that's the REAL Transformers. No matter the distance, you can always hear the soy and fatrolls in their mouth when they talk about garbage uninspired stories and characters with the same stories that never evolve and declare that it should be the blueprint for anything Transformers related in the future.
Especially when you're trying to find actual fans that enjoy the old media and aren't just sex tourists that want some robot men/women to get their rocks off. I'm so tired of trying to sift through shitty shallow ""people"" in order to talk about TF in a nonchalant manner. Thankfully it seemed God has smiled upon me and I have found at least 2 people I can shoot the breeze with without having to wonder if they'll send me shitty bot porn or fanfics

I'm sensing a subtle yet ever present and growing fatigue with these types of """fans""". Skybound is gonna eat their lunches and then some. It already is.

Anyway, the little Screamlings are halfway done with Rescue Bots. It'll probably join the constant loop of G1, Prime, Animated and Beast Wars soon enough. We put on 1 episode of BotBots and they were bored.

This is reminding me of something i was gonna ramble about when I got reminded of it int he most retarded of ways. "transformers history" video I randomly clicked while on 0 sleep today and it started pretty ok but then it started doing retarded shit like going into a whole tangent about "female representation being super important in transformers" and like framing the nemesis box art being the ship as some sort of slight against women and talking about how legacy override was super important because "well known female character" while previously acting like airrazor in beast wars was bad/not good rep because the og figure was changed to a woman last second.

...Override is a dude in every fucking version of cybertron save for the english dub and has a blatantly male model and is named "nitro convoy" int he asian versions. The character is supposed to be a visual speed racer homage, car and bot mode proportions. I rambled about this before I think when I got the legacy figure because the legacy figure is based on the anime model's robot mode but the english dub is literally only a "female" because of network meddling. What I didn't bring up is how the "grrr i hate the japanese transformers" guys like goon tot he female version of the character, which like is only visibly female I think in IDW shit where the character looks nothing like the OG fucking cool robot car design

Like maybe as a speed racer sperglet I got angry as a kid over finding out the network meddling fucked with my robot show speed racer funny reference but like it bugs the fuck out of me for some reason even to this day on a character aesthetic level and also because of the further ripples it caused with gooners

Like for further context this isn't a "grr i hate femeale versions of characters" thing no I like the design of animated dragstrip and that's literally just a fucking arcee repaint.
Somehow this not only being another character works but visually i think it works a bit better than animated arcee despite that being the OG character this figure pulls from

One looks like they're gonna kick your ass the other looks like they're gonna write you up for driving fast on a racetrack.

There's a persistent pattern with these types of people that i've noticed, i still don't know if there's a specific term for them, but fagformers or nu-transformers would seem to be accurate. Fagformers almost always only seem to like one specific show, will universally blame G1 for Transformers becoming stale and have a derangment syndrome regarding the Bayverse. They also worship IDW as the best thing to ever happen to the Transformers and sometimes that's only the reboot universe they're talking about. They do make themselves pretty blatant with what type of person they are, when they announce their constant rants about most things in Transformers being "boring", except for one part(you already know which one it is and why). Sometimes i think these people don't give a shit about Transformers but see garbage like IDW and relate to it because it's the perfect proxy for relaying their sexual degeneracy, but have no regard for the characters, the history and anything else

LMAO I can see skybound optimus is blatantly based on the third party kits and KO figures

Skybound Prime is apparently $80, which is laughable.
No trailer voyager figure at the price of what a commander was before the price hike... Cool! Wow so cool! It's like I don't even want to die!

At first I was iffy on these, but they quickly grew on me. I like how the Decepticon's will be Yokai based. Starscream is supposed to be like a Tengu so I'll have to see if I can make a mask for him. He's highly possible too. Getting a good look at Thundercracker I can't wait for him. his chest/ waist look so much better and has nice proportions.
