i am kinda tired if buying optimus prime, trucks with trailers are nice, but they start to get to much.

so i got studio series ultra magnus from amazon who....is a truck....with a trailer.
I wish I had the money for that kind of shit, but I also wish figures werent so fucking pricey so if I did have the money it'd probably go to something else because I'm fucking weirdly specific about what I spend shit on lmao.

Still kinda upset I didn't get the old 3rd party masterpiece magnus during the brief window a good number of years ago when it was marked down to $40 for a little bit. Granted the figure came out before they started shifting to cartoon aesthetic specifically for MP so it's got one of those unique looks
Deathsaurus and Star Saber were the only good Haslab products (can't speak for anything outside of Transformers). I didn't back either of them, but people who did got a substantial value for both figures, especially since these are the only modern G1 renditions of these characters that have been created in a long time. Until there's a chance for Takara to create both characters in their Adamas Machina line or Masterpiece (In Star Saber's case, renovate him because the Haslab version is quite frankly better than the Masterpiece one, something which i'll rarely admit). The only other options you'd have for either character is 3rd party figures, which are amazing from what i've seen, but unfortunately are always the IDW versions.
Star saber and deathsaurus were also technically kind of shitty haslabs because theyw ere just commander class figures with a stand and more leader and legends scale guys tacked in to bump up the "value" as tiers to bascically what it would have been just to buy a bundle. Haslabs keep getting less and less "we couldnt sell this in stores because it's literally too big" with the sail barge to "this is too niche haha " (as if that wasn't a constant thing with their releases of toys over the years) to "GUYS YOU BETTER PREORDER IT CAUSE INVESTMENT" shit with the stuff like the tron figure 4 pack with light cycles for over 200 dollars we're getting now as haslabs.

It doesn't feel like it because my lifes been stagnant hell but it's now been eight years since they teased leader class deathsaurus and then just never delivered. (I have a theory both it and star saber were reworked into the haslabs but that's another story)

I still don't get why primal was labelled as an agent of chaos like he was unicron allied or some shit.

I don't disagree that both of them could've easily been sold at the retail level. Frankly i just wish Takara or some 3rd party company would make new G1 figures of Deathsaurus and Star Saber. For 3rd party companies, i'd vote for Planet X, because while i don't give two fucks about the IDW iterations of both characters, that company has produced some amazing figures of WFC and FOC characters (but that's probably why they haven't done anything G1 related). Do agree about your point regarding Haslabs devolving into FOMO schemes however. I hope the Liokaiser product is subjected to extensive scrutinization, not only because the character deserves some recognition he hasn't recieved in a long time but also to prevent another Omega Prime disaster

Say what you will about Unicron but I still feel like I got my money's worth. He's the giant centerpiece of my Titan display.
The cost cutting alteration of turning the bits that fold into the legs int the earlier prototype and sketches into bits that just dangle off and the unannounced last minute cost cutting alterations made me glad I didn't get it, but then again I'd never be able to afford it. Sure I still kinda regret not being able to get it but I still have my (technically worthless to value speculators) OG armada unicron from when I was a kid somewhere.

The best official unicron I think is still the takara anniversary or whatever release from 2010

Every copy I see online lately is scalped, beat up, or beat up and scalped.

Unfortunately this version doesn't have the color in the middle ring thing going through planet mode the others have for whatever reason despite it still being sculpted in.

More anti bayverse propaganda, ((they)) will never get me to think those designs suck.
Niggers who shit on Bayverse also inadvertently shit on the music--and I'll be damned if I catch some tasteless cunt voicing her preference for the audial slop-coated production that was ROTB within 100 feet of me. I will smack the shit out of her. Steve Jablonsky was fucking cooking in each movie--one of the few objectively good things TLK had (and I say that as someone who enjoys TLK fully)

Gray prototypes for Overgear Ironhide and Blackout were shown off.
Missing Link Powered Convoy is at a different booth that isn't open to the public yet.

Huh. I guess "Overgear" refers to excessive weaponry. Going by the silhouette they had shown, I assumed it was going to be extraneous armor and weapons that became other vehicles and equipped to an associated figure.

I got a used kingdom rodimus coming that's missing blast effects for a good deal (can live without them if it means not having to pay 100+ dollars.) Still pissed about not getting him when he was marked down to $40 new, already said that before and won't stop saying it. Hopefully he comes before I have to go somewhere that isn't in front porch range in a week or 2. Long story, no PL. Just worried about rain and porch pirates.

Also the chinese galvatron upgrade parts are now within the country. Neat!

How do you feel about every other transformable figure of him from the last few years inexplicably has him yelling in either anger or existential dread?
What'd I say is the nerds who made those don't know the real me. Not only would I have Hook and Scapper make better molds of all of us, I'd have Bonecrusher and the crew melt down what was sent out. Also if they knew the real me they would know this is my last easy to find Skywarp pic so there.

Thought I was out of the shit woods, thought I hadn't gotten hit by one of the bad batches, but my jhiaxus is finally being hit by the yellowing plague people have complained about. No, I'm not talking about how his leg joints are slightly darker greenish white by default, I mean they're getting darker and one of his arms that's not that plastic seems to be darkening as well. He's not been in sunlight but I found some weird shit that apparently sometimes sunlight can undo the yellowing which is like directly against what people usually say about yellowing. There's photos too showing how it does actually dull down the yellowing for some figures, jhiaxus included. So now I have him behind my computer on top of a box with his back arched and his ass facing the window, arms up. It's overcast and windy but there's still a lot of light andI can see how thin transformers plastic is these days. I don't know if it'll help or not because I'm not willing to leave him there for a week or whatever like the examples I've seen where people put them outside for a few hours each day but I figured since he's already turning it's worth a shot as stupid as it is.

Jhiaxus really is a great figure, I'm surprised they didn't issue a repaint with the comic cel shading effect given how he's one of those "bot mode pulled directly from the marvel comics he came from" guys. A lot of places have the figure marked down to $20 lately and if you don't got him I'd very much recommend the figure.
