I swear that was done because he's another one of those people who hate the weebshit side of Transformers...which is a sizable proportion but I swear they sound like they have the hate plague when they talk about that part.

Star saber techically is just part of the "JP exclusive g1 seasons" and if hasbro didn't do whatever the fuck it was they were doing at that time that divide probbaly wouldn't be so severe.

On the more severe side of things shit gets super fucking irrational clout-seeker redditbrained sometimes with those types, especially post corona. I'm never going to forget the horrible fucking shit I saw of a transformers review guy that also hopped onto the bandwagon of "value speculator" destroying the JP version of alternators optimus prime that's scalped like crazy to begin with because it came with an anime girl from kiss players. Every time I think about the fucking 'value speculators" driving up the price of everything saying how it's worth 200-2000 dollars I just envision a guy like that beingbehind the rising costs of everyhing gleefully ripping shit people want apart for a drop of "community" clout.

A lot of the guys covering transformers shit that turn into value speculator types all bleed together into a singular sludge in my mind, not intentionally mind you. I 100% understand not being able to fully remember exactly who the fuck it was that did it.

Also technically Transformers as we know it started as a localization narrative thing and then it got bigger after they decided to put them out in Japan too.

Surprisingly solid figure otherwise despite the hollowness, weirdly haven't had issues the YT review guys have had with it yet. If I can get another one for cheap again sometime I'm likely gonna heavily mod this one.

Well Hasbro defenders seem to deny that anyways, despite that Hasbro was eager to get the rights of every Takara-related transforming robot thing at the time for Transformers, and anything else that was interesting before they had to make new shit up for Takara to produce (and then by themselves in several cases). They killed Knickerbocker Toys, the original Raggedy Ann creators, just because they had some Takara designers involved.

I never understood these people. I remember them as far back as the alt.toys.transformers days. A lot of it was just jealousy as it was much harder to import toys back then.

I remember these idiots just shitting themselves in autistic tantrums when Beast Wars II came out. How dare those Japs make their own exclusive Beast Wars series! They even called in a "ripoff". They hadn't even seen it, yet they were looking for things to be offended about, like a character being named Apache. Or the episode where the Jointrons wore sombreros.

And then in more recent times, there would be cases where the Takara paint jobs were objectively superior to the Hasbro product, and these guys would lie to themselves and each other and call the Hasbro version better. Like for example, Titans Returns Blurr vs. Legends Blurr.

I subtly remember watching a video that is reminiscent of your statement here, but i don't think the Optimus toy was destroyed in the process. But who knows, most of these reviewers blend together and have no distinguishing personalities.

The Fall of Cybertron toyline from Takara's side was much better than Hasbro's, not only having visually superior and accurate paint but also (i think) better articulation. Also 10 years later and Hasbro can't get the Studio Series WFC Seekers right, despite succeeding during the Generations run
 
Roberts' problem was that he got totally corrupted by the twitter/tumblr hugbox and you could really tell as it went on.

Season 1 I generally liked, awful treatment of Star Saber and some other things aside. Season 2 you could tell things were starting to go off the rails. I didn't even bother with season 3 because they replaced the artist who I really liked with some shitter who can't draw. But from the things I've seen the story got so unhinged that I definitely made the right call skipping it.

The whole ending of IDW seemed like a total clusterfuck with all the crossover nonsense, things being done purely for shock value, Unicron being defeated with a hug, etc.

Yes, I used to ship Rung with an OC that was a female but the Fujoshits accused me of *checks notes* pinkwashing? Plus the community is filled with too many retards so I left, I am considering on returning, its FINALLY good to see an area on the web where its not James Roberts asskissing 24/7. The Transformers is a funny joke but blurs the lines between ironic and just... there, I came to see a war between transforming bots. Not be educated on sex ed between them.

Sadly it's what I expected it to be, least we get the robot that came with the diaclone version. Just the ML White Optimus with the Ultra Magnus cab with pin joints for the knees. I fear for it's QA testing. I would have re-engineered that whole area for the price they're asking. Though I would like a red Powerdrive so I can wait for the eventual re-release. Plastic looks cheap s fuck though.
