Defenders are the smaller scale ones and their boxes are still "affordable" at like 35 but amazon just marked half of them up to 40 and 50 dollars before I could check out like a few weeks back so I just removed them from my cart and decided to just give up trying for a while. Still, they look great.

The only ones are either in a mall that solely does wargaming minis, some that only carry gunpla stuff that are way way too far away to drive to, and the one that sells new and used collectibles and transformers that moved an inconvenient distance from me that I used to go to the other 2 locations it was at as far back as when I was an actual kid (they moved about around the time I started this thread going by the fact the galvatron i got from there was when they opened the new place). I haven't seen blokees stuff at any of those places, only walmart. And walmart only carries the tfone and bayverse kits which they marked up to the new price of 21 or some shit for the previously 15 dollar bayverse kits and kept the 4 dollar price for the tfone ones. They never stocked wave 2 of the tfone kits, and those were one of the first online to get the price hike treatment.

There's several hobby lobbies but those are just a "slightly better than michaels for art supplies" type of place but they stock the flametoys kits on occasion and those occasionally get discounted for %40 off (conveniently whenever I don't have budgetary spending money for that).

I don't have the right environment or money for a 3d printer, let alone a resin one, so I'll probably order some of these off some etsy or ebay seller that prints them out, but I found these neat custom humanized heads meant to be a gi joe crossover concept someone made (that a bunch of people are printing and selling).

I'll just need to figure out what kind of body to put them on first and then make sure I have the right amount of money for them at the time.

Speaking of custom stuff I recently got a used copy of the HISS megatron that's missing some parts and I'm considering custom painting it. Sucks I missed out on my initial plan of getting a few when they were like marked down to 24 dollars NEW last year or so in some places but eh it's fine. I mean it's NOT fine because "why the fuck did BBTS and amazon randomly mark their clearanced item nobody was buying back up to the "sale" price of 60-70 dollars?" but still it's FINE.

I never saw the soundwave in discount stores by me when that happened last year though and it pisses me off because that's still fucking over 100 dollars online. way beyond my price range.

Hi! I am previously the friend that @Dr. Arinsu mentioned in the Hazbin Hotel threads or Viv threads. I did join back in 2023 to lurk around hence the name because I really like Starscream, but left the fandom because Fujoshi's I am getting back into it because bayverse. So I wanted to chat since @Starscream's Loyalty mentioned a discussion hub? (I also do like DBZ myself more. But eh.)

I would break the ice and ask, whats everyones favorite transformers?

Here's Anode reaching a literal special snowflake. Ironic in a way since he's very clearly written to be human, and Lug was as well. I think they brought in a troon to consult their creation too.
IDW and Ask Vector Prime have ruined the franchise, as they seem to only exist to make TFWiki admins orgasm with lore, and in the troon's cases (FortMax and Broadside), orgasm with woke shit.

The alt mode seems to be a backpack shaped like the titans return cassete bots so it kinda makes sense I guess...

Never got around to looking at IDW in full so my main exposure was the cool character designs and the goofy cool or horrible shit I heard and saw about it from people I knew that did read it.

Wasnt his thing (aside from technically being primus later) that he was like pretty much useless due to his hyper-specific alt mode he didn't even know the fucking purpose of? I remember him being more of "unintentionally funny powerless guy the other guys push around" from what I saw of him more than "gary stu" unless I'm misremembering stuff.

A useless gag though for a plot lore reason was that like an SCP people don't know his name and will call him Rang, Wrong, Ring.

Always great to see another Transformers fan who isn't obsessed with gay romance tea parties and enjoys the franchise's core spirit. To answer your question, i mentioned Soundwave myself some pages back in this thread. But i'll say that other favorites include Deathsaurus, Megatronus(Dreamwave specifically), Trypticon and Hellbat

I think out of the 2, Ask Vector Prime was much less egregious. For one it's much easier to ignore and lasted less than IDW, i would also say it didn't taint the franchise the same way IDW did. The supposed pinnacle of Transformers literature consists of robots using human invented sexual labels and having gay romance where the actual plot doesn't go anywhere. Early IDW i will admit was good, but the comics were horrible longer than they were good and i legitimately don't get how people see it as more exciting and fascinating compared to the G1 Marvel Comics, Dreamwave, the currently existing Skybound and even the stuff created by Fun Publications. James Roberts is a faggot lover who should drink acid for corrupting Star Saber's personality and then killing him off by a faggot version of Cyclonus

Aesthetically? Nova Prime and Galaxy Convoy for sure. The DNA Designs kit for Legacy Nova Prime is the first 3P kit I've ever bought because it just improves the toy so much. Galaxy Convoy's super mode design and its nods to the super robot genre are just peak.
