Maybe so, because it's the same outfit silhouette copy pasted over and over: cropped tank + belted mini to create illusion of waist on a tree trunk, stockings bc ofc, chokers that will not hide an adams apple, ratty ass hair. He isn't wrong in that good fashion is often a matter of finding a functional formula but to call this one nice is a stretch bc of execution.

Fashion isn't hard, but his execution still sucks. This is pretty catty of me though.

Fair enough. I was a teenager in the 1990s and frequently wore outfits similar to all of these. I was by no means chic, but I was on trend and I looked cute. My nostalgia is obviously influencing my thinking on this 🥲

The formula is solid! The trick, again, is execution. It helps to have the right equipment, for one. but for God's sake, at least put the fucking moobs away.

I don't want to derail, kiwis who are more fashionable than me will be able to break these fits down more on actual taste and look achievement. If you're curious though, I made this huge effortpost of what I mean with execution, so I might as well dump it.

Keep in mind that my special interest is not in fashion or trends as much as the craft of apparel-making, esp drafting sewing patterns and bespoke tailoring (as opposed to finished-piece alterations). I don't really care if it's a good "look" or if it's fashionable, so much as: does the garment literally fit well for the individual wearing it, and does the choice of piece suit the desired effect once combined into an outfit? that's what I mean by execution.

- halter tops and racerback cuts, especially those with deep armscyes, widen the shoulders. this can help for women who are small busted to create an hourglass illusion, esp if petite. ps, athletic ladies need not fear as halters also is great for showcasing fit pecs and lats for similarly lifting effect. however not very dainty if you're already trying to mask overly broad manly shoulders, esp cuz it also emphasizes flabbiness in armpits and poor bra fit (or unnaturally wide-set moobs) that results in the dreaded uniboob pancaking we see.
- belts emphasize the waist, always. it can help create a cinch if the piece itself lacks shape (like a maxi shift dress) or if the pieces, esp bottoms, are sufficiently voluminous (circle skirts). these pairings of chunky belt on straight waists or yoked skirts actually draw the eyes across the tightest bits of the garment already stretched over the least flattering bits (eg belly fat). the shorts look is esp egregious bc the belt is placed too low across his widest span, defeating the purpose of faking a female waistline.
- speaking of illusions, much is achieved with that millenial overhead angle, especially hiding flat man hips. you can tell he tries to obscure this in the mirror posing a lot, but I promise you, those skirts look horrifying straight on because he doesn't have the hip to waist ratio, it's all gunt. the head scarf literally hides his waist hang at this photo angle. the yoked plaid skirt could e had a chance if not for the belt.
- it's actually the accessories and top layers that do the heavy lifting of dragging the eye towards the center waistline for a slimming illusion, especially the dangly necklace despite its fugliness on his neck (though any lengthy neck accessory would've worked). again, use any waist coverage or camouflage like a headscarf or a structured jacket or a paper bag for his face.
- the coat look was actually the most promising, because its also the most deceptive about his actual body shape. the window created by a structured coat can create a peekaboo opportunity for flattering accessories and masks many body types for a more defined overall silhouette. the scalloped vneck + buttons checks the centerline, belt actually suits as a focal point. wrap skirts I personally think can suit literally everyone, if you can find the length and material for you.
- there's more I can say about what he could do instead but I'm tired.

anyway fashion is a skill and even late bloomers can learn it through their desired autistic medium given some effort. The formula works if you know what it achieves and why it looks good ON YOU but that would involve self analysis, which troons dare not.

I find this especially funny because when all this gender nonsense started on places like Tumblr, they wanted people to say Biological woman and ism, then when people started to use it they got mad and moved the goal posts. Same thing happened with AF/MAB, ask for pronouns ect. They can't figure out how to move the goal posts any farther. It's great.
 
If I ever have to deal with a tranner in person I'm going to quietly clock them and then tell them it's okay, and I'm trans too and that I transitioned after 30... I'm not and didn't but clearly being outed by other troons makes them seethe almost as much as seeing a "passoid", so presumably thinking both are happening both at once will cause the genderspecial to immediately jump under the nearest train

It's our thoughts that they truly want to police, they're only settling for language. Can't magic away a genital preference or sexual dimorphism just by calling it something else!

Sadly they don't seem to realise that there is no word out there that is immune to being used as a slur when what people object to is them and not the words we are told we must use for they/them.
