There was a little diversion in stinkditch a week or two back about Blackfishing/trans-race people (that oddly did not end up posted to the blackfishing thread, but I'll rectify that if I can find the posts again) wherein I learned that they like to be called 'rannies'.
So... I guess trannies are the rannies of gender? It has a nice ring to it!

My observation is similar: Pride-themed promotions and marketing did seem less aggressive than years past, it still seemed as noticeable. School districts having DEI people on their payroll still flew the pride flag beneath the US flag and used rainbow colors on their LED marquees. And plenty of people still signal boost with rainbow colors in their social media avatars. Subdued, yes, but definitely not less noticeable around here.
During the "summer of love" four years ago, someone here joked that someone should tell the ACAB folks that it really stands for "All criminals are black."

Trans activism is, at its core, a male rights movement. So making sure men have sexual access to women is a core part of it. Lesbianism is the one sexual orientation in which no men are involved, this establishes a pretty clear boundary that this is a group that men do not have the right to sexual access to. So if course misogynistic men are obsessed with bulldozing over that boundary.

To be fair, I moved to a new area last year (and my old location's Pride celebrations are mostly later in the year). I still noticed that I saw the basic six flag Baker flag a lot more this year the few times I saw pride flags flying around town. There was some progress flag merch and it appears that the pride parade mostly catered to troons if we're going by the website, but that merch did not move at all and nothing more happened after pride week capped with the parade. In fact, what merch I did see move was ROY G BIV/Baker themed. Seeing the Baker flag more often plus the far more subdued (for the most part) attitude during the month was quite nice. Seeing (often commie) troons whine online that not getting catered to by rainbow capitalism as much as previous years was great, too.
Speaking of whining, you know how troons are always screaming about wanting *progress?* Here is a troon whining about how offering X as a gender on government records is actually like having an X on their backs. It's not enough that they're further fucking up population statistics and archival information by getting the government to suck their girldick and offer this bullshit marker. Yeah it's weird. There used to be a small amount of decorum, even if it was just keeping it to their troon only spaces.
